"Fantastic. Fan-fucking-tastic. What did you do to have Meghan even consider that option, Ice-Boy?" Puck said from behind me.

I don't respond.

"Huh, Ice-Boy? What are we gonna do!?" Puck yelled throwing up his arms. I turned to him, my head churning as I thought of a way around my word. He raised an eyebrow at my silence.

"Promise me something." I say, making eye contact with him.

"What?" Puck asked, surprised that I would ask something like that of him.

Trust me it wasn't my first choice.

"Promise me you'll keep Meghan safe, that you will not lose her, while I go find out some answers." I said.

Puck shook his head. "I got a better idea. We should trust  the guard and even Johnathan with Meghan, while we--" He pointed to me and him. "--Go figure out who did this."

"I will never trust Johnathan." I stated blatantly, narrowing my eyes. Puck rolled his eyes.

"Let me guess. This is typical Ash, being typically jealous." He asked. I rolled my eyes, officially annoyed.

"Do you recall what you and Johnathan were speaking about the first time I met him." I said, remembering how he was talking about Meghan in a way I did not like.

Puck shrugged and blew raspberry.

"Oh, please," He started. "Compared to what we used to talk about that was nothing."

My anger grew quickly at his words, the air around us becoming cold.

"Come on, Ash!" Puck yelled stepping forward.

"No." I said. He narrowed his eyes and I could tell he was quite fed up with me too.

"Or is that not the problem," He said, completely serious now. I raised an eyebrow, confused, but he went on without even noticing. "Is it that you don't trust, Meghan? Is it that you don't believe she is capable of taking care of herself?" He stopped, shaking his head. "Or do you not trust that she will stay faithful? Are you doubting her loyalty, Prince?"

"You know that's not what I me-"

"Then what do you mean!?" He yelled. I didn't say anything and he gave his infamous fake smile. "You know this is the only way, Ash." He said, laughing humorlessly.

"I know." I said, sighing.

"Then what the hell is keeping you from choosing it!?" He yelled.

"Fine!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the abandoned streets and making birds fly away. I smiled. "Fine, we'll do it your way." I said quieter.

"Finally!" He said and threw up his arms in mock defeat. "I thought it might have tooken you ages for you to get my point. Now, shall we get started?" He said and without waiting or responding, I jumped off the roof, landing gracefully on two feet.

"So...what's the plan?" Puck asked, falling into step beside me.

I glared at him from the corner of my eye. "Weren't you the one to come up with this idea, Goodfellow?" I asked. He scoffed.

"Do you even know who your talking to?" He said, his smirk creeping back onto his face.

"Should've known." I whispered, sighing. "Think maybe we should find Grimalkin again?" I asked smiling. Puck laughed.

"Yeah right, in your dreams, Ice-Boy. Last time I went on a trip to find his furry carcass with you I almost died more times than I can count." I opened my mouth to reply but quickly shut it as I saw Johnathan sprinting this way, his brown and blond hair drenched in sweat and his breathing short and ragged.
