Devin's P.O.V
Finally she's sleep. I thought I might have had to put some type of sleeping spell on Meghan like I did to Johnathan.
I stood up from Johnathan's lounging chair(I snuck back in while Meghan wasn't looking, just to make sure John didn't try anything) stretched, and then made my way out the door once again.
The mortal world really is different from Faery. I haven't really had a chance to look over everything until now, and I have to say I agree with Ash when he said this place was practically a dump.
I mean, really, look at this! I walked further away from John's house and into the grass. Candy wrappers all over the ground, water bottles, pop cans, and...what is that? Is that...well that's just nasty. Faeries wouldn't even think to use those.
Anyways, I wonder where Ash and Puck could be. I thought as I walked down multiple streets, not finding anything. I finally broke away from the popular streets and walked down a more secluded, dark alleyway that only broke into more alleys.
"Leave me alone you pervert!" I heard a teenager scream as I walked past an alley. Stupid teenagers.
"Maybe I could dress up as Devin?" I think I hear Puck say, near an alley I was getting ready to turn into. I turned down the alleyway, and sure enough, there was Ash and Puck. Puck of course was leaning against a wall, hands behind his head. Ash leaned against a wall also, hands in his pockets.
"Oh, please. Neither of you could look as good as I do, no matter how hard you tried." I said, grinning. Both faeries looked to me.
"Oh. It's just you, Devin." Puck said, relaxing once again until his emerald eyes snap to my empty side.
Ash pushed himself off the wall and stared at me. I met his silver eyes. "Where's Meghan? Is she okay?" He asked after a few moments of silence. I raised an eyebrow.
"Why?"
"Because," Puck started and I looked to him. "Everytime you or John come without Meghan, something's up. So, with that being said...where's Meghan?" Puck explained. I snorted.
"Like I would ever let anything happen to Meghan," I said. Nobody said anything and I sighed. "Alright you got me there. She's asleep."
"Where is she?" Ash asked and I looked back to him.
"She's safe."
"Where is safe?" Puck said, crossing his arms at me.
I roll my eyes at their seriousness. "Look before I say where I need you both to know I made sure both of them were asleep before I came." I said, looking looking back and forth between the two.
Ash nods, but Puck looks at me as if he figured it out.
"She's at John's house." He said, I nodded.
"Why is she there?" Ash asked, taking a step forward.
"Umm...because she can be?" I guessed, shrugging.
"She couldn't of at least slept in her own cabin?"
I shook my head. "Too risky."
"Out of all the places she could've went to she chose...there." Ash said, with a sigh, running a hand through his jet black hair.
"Yes, because her other option, believe it or not, was worse than this one."
"And what's that?" Ash said.
"Rowan's house."
"Ha! Got a point there. I would have had to have a little chat with her if she slept with him right, Ice-boy?" Puck said. Ash didn't say anything and I looked up to the sky, watching the sun rise, very very slowly.
"Look, I hate to cut this short but...Meghan wants me back by morning." I said, pointing to the sky. Puck looked up at the sky and then back to me.
"Ehh...you still got little time." He said, smirking.
"Not time I would like to spend with you two." I say, grinning, and earning a chuckle from Puck.
"Can you tell us?" Ash said, ignoring Puck and staring at me.
"I can. But I won't. All I have for you is this," I looked to Puck, making sure he knew this was directed at him. He rubbed his hands together.
"Alright. I'm ready. Lay it on me." He said, grinning.
"Concentrate and think back. The answer is right in front of your face, don't overthink shit." I said. Ash frowned and Puck put his hands down. I waved, spun on a heel and started walking.
"Oi! Wait! You can't leave me here with Ice-boy after you said that!" I heard Puck yell. "Hey!"
And I was gone.
Meghan's P.O.V
I looked around at my surroundings. There was nothing...nothing but white. White everywhere. I walked forward but...still white. I spun around in a circle, walking every witch way until...Ash appeared.
"Ash..." I whispered, gut tearing at seeing his face.
"Meghan. Please, we can fight this together." Ash said.
"No. That's not gonna happen. Not ever, Ash. The only thing we can do to help each other is to stay away from eachother." I said, backing up. I bumped into something behind me and turned around quickly. Ash grabbed my waist, and pulled me closer.
"Why can't we?" He said. He bent his head down, closer and I felt his breath on my cheek. It smelt of mint. "If you tell me, that means we can be together again." He continued.
I looked down, sighing as I cherished his hands on me.
"I want that, Ash. I want that more then anything you know but-" I stopped and winced, looking down at my arm. Oh no, it's changing colors again. I shook out of Ash's hold, earning a confused face and a frown but I ignored him as I ran three fingers over my multi-colored arm. An echo went through my head.
Looks like the chips still there. Hahahaha! Did you think you had gotten rid of me? Hahaha!
