Free Realms

My crystal clear blue eyes stared up at the yellow, orange, and purple sky above me. I had gotten a random download link on my computer tiled "New Realms" and out of curiosity I had downloaded it and entered the game. I didn't know what happened to me outside of the game after that, if I was still even in that world. I slowly sit up to feel the breeze brush my blond and brown locks behind me. The world was incredibly colorful, flowers of all colors and blossom trees sending their pedals across the realm. What puzzled me the most was the fact that no one else was around. Perhapse I was beta testing this? Or if I was the only one who got the download. Almost as if the game server had heard my thoughts, people started to form, but they where not NPCs. Because they looked just as amazed and confused as I was. People of all ages where now here, the youngest looked about eleven. I could tell that they where bothered by this, for they knew no one and was alone. I couldn't help but to feel sad for the poor kid so I walked and hugged them, and I was a bit Suprised when they returned the hug. We told eachothers our names and just like that, we had become friends. Everyone else was now starting to move around and the chatter got louder and louder. Of course, there was the people who where already looking for someone to hook up with, typical. Suddenly there was a blue light that appeared infront of everyone, it was a welcoming letter to the game. It also explained some useful stuff to know and then the Rules came.. but also didnt. It was blank. No rules. Meaning you could do anything you wanted to. I'm the kind of person who thinks ahead, so my first thought was to get away from everyone, get my bearings, and learn. After I had did that I was exploring what I could do with the personal menu of ours and I decided to click on classes. It took me to a page, or more like full body camera that had a pre-made character and wardrobes. There was a lot of classes and even a Mix button. So I mixed to classes together, Thief and Trickster. I had my my friend do the same thing, so when we learned new things about our classes we could tell eachothers about it and we can gradually rise in skill and knowledge. Which also ment power. Everyone was now starting to head in the same direction, a village of some sort. We followed but stayed to the outskirts of the group. After we reached the village everyone found their Comfort zone, where they belonged. There was also enought houses for us all, my friend and I decided to bunk together though. Time passed slowly, day after day. Week after week. Month after month. Year after year. We don't even remember how long we had been sent to this world, but I enjoyed it here. The no Rules part gave us a bunch of freedom.. which we used to out advantaged. We had gained tons of skills such as invisibility, walking through walls, ability to break out of any restraints, lock picking, silent walking, and just a ton of skills that alloud us to do a lot of activities and adventures. Adventually my friend had developed a... perverted part of there head. Probably due to my own perverted thoughts, but oh wells! It usually made everything ten times more interesting. With our skills we where unstoppable! Sneaking into dorms and messing with people, stealing sometimes, and... well we both needed out own 'pleasures'. Mine was pushing people into situations to where it would draw out all sorts of information, I loved to watch what happened. To observe. I had my own personal actors! It was as if I was the director of movies and TV shows of all sorts. Horror, tragedy, romance, suspension, supernatural.. you name it, I made it. However my friend was really intwined with their perverted side and would use their skills to sneak into homes and torment the residents, but not the kind of torment you would usually think about. No, it wasn't like he was a ghost haunting the place. He was a teaser, found amusement in Arousing others by pressing all their buttons. Literally. Sweet gentle kisses from the stomach up, small hickeys here and there. Lighly brushing up against them, or even ear biting. Any possible tease you could think of, he did. Sometimes I would watch, it was a bit amusing. But I found messing with others in my way to be pleasing. Some people may call me heartless for some of the situations I had put some people through. But dear, not all stories end beautifully. Lately I had been messing around with a newly formed couple, putting them in every possible situation I could. Testing their loyalties for eachothers. How much they desired eachothers. I don't know why I was drawn to these two in particular, they just seemed... too happy? Carefree? I don't know. I still can't figure it out to this die. Though no one would be able to think about that with the situation I was currently in. I had messed up. Accidently disabled my invisibility cloak and was caught. Ah, something I never thought possible. If I was to think about it earlier in my life I would of laughed. I now laid in a empty field, my blue eyes darkened because of the night sky. Though a smile still on my face. Eventhough I had been caught, I prevented the capture of my friend. Self sacrifice if you think about it. They ended up coming along with me and started to help me with the couple. Yes, this world had no rules, but it didn't mean that the town I was in had.. expectations. I ignored every warning. Thought I was god, nothing could happen to me! I was powerful and skilled. Could sneak my way out of every situation. I guess I was only like that when alone. Stupid. If I was god I should of been able to get us both out. Sure I got them to escape, but I fell behind and said to him "leave, I'll distract them and come back in no time and we can resume our games!" Even I can't escape the The blades of trained assassins & hunters. The smell of metallic was now strong, the smell of blood. My hand was placed around the small stick of an arrow I had pulled out of my shoulder. While my other hand laid across the large gash on my stomach. I was cold, but I also felt warmth. It was confusing. I held up my hand and noted the dark liquid, "oh.. right. I'm dying." A small chuckle escaped my lips as I lost the energy to hold up my hand and it fell beside me. I could hear the hunters searching for me and him. He was long gone, and I would soon be gone. They should just give up the search. It was futile. As the orange flickering light of torches came into view, and shouting growing louder, so did the black. It started to creep over my vision, I had tried to keep consciousness as best I could. I didn't know why though, it wasn't like I would of been rewarded for doing so. I gave up my own game and let my eyes close. The sounds started to get quieter even thought they where get getting closer. Death was confusing. I didn't understand it one bit. I though of it as peaceful, silent. No worries. As the darkness stole my soul away. My lungs releasing the last breath I took, and the slow beat if my heart coming to a stop.

I don't know how long I was running, my lungs burned from the constant and rabid intake of air. She had told me to run, so I did. I just ran. My legs started to feel like rubber and they eventually buckled under me, no longer holding the energy they needed to carry me away from the pursuers. "You better not of lied..." Was all I said before I focused on gaining my breath back. Everytime I exhaled id just look at the White puffs that would be released each time. I had always wondered why it did that on cold nights. After successfully satisfying my lungs making the burn vanish, I looked up to the dark blue sky that was dotted with bright white specks. Stars. I always found them unique, the massive numbers of them and how some seemed to make images. I figured that my legs would carry me farther than where I had collapsed so I laid there, staring up at the white specks before sleep finally claimed me.

I awoke to the bright rays of the sun shining in my eyes. At first I just wanted to go back to sleep but then I remembered the events of last night. And she had not returned to me yet. I needed to find her. I shot up onto my feet and almost fell over doing so. My legs where so sore it was incredible that I hadn't let out a startled yelp. Eventhough they ached with tiredness I had to move, I needed to find her. I sped walked back towards the village, my eyes searching for every possible danger. What I saw.. was something I never wanted to see, and as I think about this now.. I see the image of her. The image I so desperately wish I could forget. The blood surrounding her.. the wounds that could be seen, and yet she still smiled. I collapsed onto my knees beside her "No... you promised me! Day one.. you said you would always be here with me. Even last night you said you would return to me... but you lied.. Why?!?" He had screamed the last word as tears started to stream down his face. The ache that he started to feel in his chest hurt, he did not know What it was. Just knew that it really hurt. He looked to her cold, lifeless body and brushed the hair out of her face. That's when he saw it, the necklace that he had gotten her. It had specks of blood on it due to the fact it naturally hung low on her. He reached out a shaky hand and gripped the necklace and slowly slid it off of her and held it close and tight to his heart. "I'll remember you. Forever. Your legacy and all. You where a really great friend.. no. You where Family. My only Family. This is goodbye.." he wiped the tears from his eyes before slipping the necklace over him and standing up. "I'll lay you to rest in the most beautiful land. Your favorite flowers will bloom around you, and the blossom trees will allow their pedals to lay over you as a blanket of warmth.."
