Another day in the almost ironically named town of Goodneighbor. Work was slow for Daisy that day. Most were. Not many people came here for simple odds and ends, usually to get hammered or get revenge. Hours passed and not a damn customer. Just the usual sunglasses clad loiterer and wandering beggars.

Then came her. A gal that truly had power in her step. Her age was pretty damn ambiguous she could've been anywhere from 21 to 45 but she had a young yet jaded aura to her. Daisy remembered talking with her about her favorite library and sure enough the blue clad woman had massacred every damn abomination that had desecrated one of the most significant parts of her pre-war life.

It was expected that she was going to Kleo's to stock up on ammo, maybe do a little tinkering with a shiny new gun. Daisy wished that the vault dweller would come and use her armor workbench but she seldom did. Probably because it was so close to her living space, Daisy thought about moving it but that would probably take too much labor that she ever felt like doing.

Just as the Pre-war defense lawyer, armed to the teeth, approached the small market area of Goodneighbor she made a right turn and walked up to the Ghoul saleswoman. Daisy semi-cleared her irradiated throat "Hey, you again! Welcome back, anything specific I can get ya?" If she still had the skin for it Daisy would be blushing right now. It was now pretty damn apparent to herself that she had a Grade A crush on this warrior princess of an ex-vault occupant. It was really hard to grasp since pre-war society had drilled into her head that lesbians should not exist and are a disgusting tabooed concept at best. It took her a few decades give or take to even let herself have some gay thoughts and actions without fear of her face being below the butt of a man's gun. It wasn't exactly that but more it being the thought that the man might want to kill her along with many other things out in the wasteland but not because she was into women.

"I think I'm going to need some ductape and a bit of leather, armor's been coming apart again." Maybe she might even use the area Daisy had provided for such a task. She crossed her fingers that it would be so. Daisy ducked down below her counter opening up her stockpile and pulling from it the desired items while adjusting her wig and then rose again setting the materials on the table.

"20 caps." She stated, her voice scratchy yet soft, like a woolen sweater with holes and frays here and there but too personally valuable to actually ever throw out. The customer of Daisy's infatuation smirked at the number given. "Giving me a discount now? Last time it was at least twice the price. Was it because of that thing I did over at the library?" A pretentious painter type may've said that Daisy's face went from a dried bubblegum pink to a faded pastel brick red. "Y-yeah somethin like that." She grumbled, her blackened eyes shifted from side to side, this time out of nervousness that was not produced from owing someone money or a rather aggressive customer but one feeling of nervousness reserved for first dates, first kisses, butterflies. That sort of thing.

A jangling bag of bottle caps was gently slammed onto the counter and the adventurer pocketed the items with just as much surprising swiftness. Daisy placed the currency into the register and paused for a short moment  "I-I don't think I ever caught your name?" She was seldom so social with her customers besides small talk and discussing larger trade deals. The woman in front of her glanced downward with a solemn gaze before returning a graciously solid yet comfortable eye contact with Daisy. "Not sure if it matters anymore, I doubt even half of the people I can call friends have bothered to learn it. That's just how it is I guess." Damn, that sure was cynical. "You can call me Sol I guess, it's short for the oh-so-glorious title most people in the commonwealth know me by, 'The Sole Survivor of Vault One-Eleven'" her tone changed at the last bit to mock that of an overzealous rich asshole you'd find wearing a clean suit or a lab coat. God, a good face AND a good sense of humor? If she wasn't compensating for anything this girl was a goddamn dream.
