The voice came back. I grunted in pain and surprise as it jumped right into my head and said Say it.
No.
Say it!
I won't. I can't!
Say it! The voice felt like it was tearing my head apart. It couldn't wait any longer; I had to put the Doctor out of its reach.
I jumped to my feet and dashed out of the house. I heard the Doctor call after me, then Donna. Their feet began to pound as they chased after me. I didn't care. He couldn't do anything for me, but there was something I could do for him. It was my life or his.
The thought made me run faster and start to sob at the same time.
I snapped as I neared the TARDIS. The voice had made me able to open it. The TARDIS wasn't happy, but she let me in. Somehow, I knew what to hit. A button here, a lever there, just like I had known how to lure the TARDIS here.
The voice yelled in fear, but I kept going, sobbing uncontrollably. The door banged open and the Doctor came in. He stopped. I couldn't hear his yell; the voice in my head was too loud. I took one glance at the Doctor, my hand on the lever. His expression broke my heart again. The what-are-you-doing-you'll-die look. That look gave my hand strength.
"Goodbye, Doctor," I whispered, and pulled the lever.
The scream in my head was painfully loud. I saw the Doctor yell and run to the controls, but he couldn't change course. The TARDIS began to fade around me with the sound I knew and loved.
This is the end, I thought. I'm dying.
I fell to the ground, unable to stand. Through tears, I saw the Doctor and Donna growing fainter and fainter. Donna was yelling at me, grabbing me, then she was gone.
Everything went black.
