Paramedic POV

As we were pulling the patient into the hospital, I heard a big "clunk" noise, kinda sounded like a head hitting glass. I looked around and saw a boy, looked about 18, sitting in his car in the closest parking lot. He also looked unconscious.

"Hey guys, I am gonna go check this kid out. Looks unconscious" I said, since there was four of us wroking on this guy.

"Alright", they responded.

I ran over to the car, and the first thing I saw was blood. This boy was covered with blood. I opened the door, which was luckily unlocked, and he almost fell out. I pushed him back up and looked to see wher the blood was coming from. His arms. Self-inflicted cuts. I went with my first instinct, which was to scream "GET ME A GURNEY!!!!" My co-worker did as I asked and brought a gurney and an oxygen mask. We loaded up the boy and I gave them the information.

"Male, about 18, self-inflicted wrist laserations on both left and right arm, unconscious, looks like he's lost a lot of blood. Stay with us kid!!"

Justin POV

I ran to the nurses desk at the front of the lobby.

"Can I help you?" The nurse asked with that fake ass smile.

"My friends.... Are they um?..... Have they been admitted yet?" I asked, stuttering

"Well we just had three new patients admitted. Three young men. What were your friends names?" She asked

"Gabe, Jack, and Nick. I'm um not thinking straight right now, I can't remember their last names, I'm sorry." I said

"It's ok sweetie, I know this is a lot to handle, and yes they are admitted. Their rooms are right next to each other luckily. Rooms 302, 303, and 304, third floor." She said

"Thank you ma'am" I said and ran to the elevator. Oh god, Kellin. I hope he's ok.... I was kinda harsh..... I thought about Kellin the entire way up to the third floor. God elevators are slow. Finally the little bell dinged and the doors opened. I walked very fast down the hallway to the 300's and found Jack's room. The doctor was in there when I walked in.

"Hello sir, are you this boy's friend?" He asked me.

"Uh yes. How is he?... I mean what's wrong with him?" I asked.

"He is in a coma, sadly, he got the worst of the accident. From what the paramedics told me he was the driver, and your friend, Gabe is it? He was in the passenger's seat and your friend um... Nick, yes, he was in the back seat. They're all pretty beat up." He said.

"Oh.... How long do you think? I mean when will he wake up?" I asked, I feel annoying asking all these questions.

"From what I can see, about three weeks. I'm so sorry." He said.

"Oh.. uh... Thank you. I'm gonna go check on my other friends now" I stated. I walked across the hall to Gabe's room. He was unconscious too. The nurse was in there.

"Hey, your other friend was pretty bad huh?" She asked.

"Yeah..." I said

"Hey, cheer up. Three weeks isn't so bad. It could be never." she said

"Yeah... I guess so. I'm gonna go check on Nick now." I said. I walked across to Nick's room. As soon as I set foot in the room, he turned over and looked at me.

"Hey buddy." He said.

"Hey, h-how are you awake? Jack's in a coma and Gabe's unconscious." I asked.

"I don't know. I wish they weren't the one's that got hurt." He said and started to tear up.

"Hey don't cry, it's not your fault." I said trying to cheer him up.
