Red's POV

As I walk back home from one of the most memorable days of school ever, I walk past a little Diner, Ricky's Diner it said. As I open the door, a little bell rings above me, I walked in and immediately fell in love with the place. There was old fashion booths and posters as well as a juke box that played lots of old fashion music. The floors were tiled and the benches were a salmon pink. I walk up to the counter where I see a man about in his late 40's cleaning up the kitchen while a two waitresses one old lady the other a young man walked past me and a cook that looked to be in his late 60's was flipping something on a pan.

Well I need to start working anyway, why not here?

Going along with my idea, I wait at the bench and the man cleaning up the kitchen walks over to me with a smile.

"Hi what can I get ya," he asks flashing me a toothy grin.

I shake my head, "I would actually like to talk to the manager," I smile he nods his head and extends his hand.

"Liam Ricky at your service, how can I help you?" I take his hand and shake it politely.

"Hello, I'm Red Delensy and I was wondering if I could maybe apply for a job here?" I ask, his face immediately brightens up even more.

"Actually we do need another set of hands in the waitressing if ya don't mind, all you have to do is fill out this form and you can start working tomorrow, you will work on Weekdays from 4:00pm till 7:30pm and you will get about $120 dollars a week. How does that sound?"

Holy cows that's pretty good pay.

"Sure I'll take it." I say without a second thought, grabbing the form he handed me and quickly reading through it then filling it in. I give it back to him and he winks.

"I'll see ya tomorrow Red," he gives me a friendly smile.

"See ya tomorrow Liam," I say as I swing open the door, the bell jingles and I shut it then make my journey home.

I walk into my home and The smell of pasta fills my nostrils and my tummy rumbles. I walk into the kitchen to find my grandmother stirring a pot of pasta sauce over the stove.

"Oh, hello dear, how was your first day of school?" She asks turning down the heat on the stove. I sit down on the table and she joins me, dragging the chair with a screech, I cringe at the sound.

"It was good, in P.E we did archery and I made a couple of friends," I purposely leave out the encounter with Xavier and his friends, but judging by my grandmothers face, she could tell I was leaving something out.

"What else Red? Come on, tell me, spit it out." She said expectingly.

"W-what? There's nothing! Phht I mean, why would I ever l-lie to you grandmother?"

Okay, I'm terrible at lying.

"Come on Red, just tell me."  She started tapping her fingernails ontogeny counter, showing signs of impatience.

"Well, I may of ticked off some girls from my school and embarrassed myself in front of a really hot guy, but that's all. I swear!" I ignore the fact that I called Xavier hot and I cross my right arm over my chest and use my left arm to do Spock fingers.
