"Micah you're back, I missed you so much my sissy poo"I wiggled out my fingers in the middle of my foyer with my arms outstretched waiting for Micah to give me a hug.
"I know I know I have so much to tell you-"
She came closer but the person who came in after her caught me by surprise.
"David? Micah why do you have his lyin cheatin ass in my house?"
David stood at the entrance of my home holding multiple suitcases. Micah stood in front of me and gently placed her hands on my shoulders automatically relaxing me.
"Ma'Kai slow down we made up we're all good"
Micah went and gave David a cute peck on the lips I looked in between Micah and David just to make sure they weren't putting on a front.
"Babe? Micah back yet?"
Omere came around the corner his eyes locked on his phone screen.
"Hey Omere I want you to meet my husband, David"
What happened next seemed to happen in slow motion. Omere slowly looked up from his phone, his eyes found David and he charged after him and while Micah tried separating the two grown men cussing and swinging the front door reopened and in walked Rebecca.
At that moment I thought nothing could make this situation worse.
"Omere and David STOP!"
Both men pushed each other away and then everyone's attention turned to Rebecca.
Micah broke the tension first "Lil girl you got some explain'n to do, to all of us."
Rebecca's eyes widened and Micah motioned towards the den and we all sat waiting for Rebecca to explain. I grabbed Omere's hand and gave it a squeeze, I could sense he was still upset.
"Well, um first off I am pregnant for those of you who even doubted that. I even brought my ultrasound pics. But the baby is not for David, I lied about that."
I smiled at Micah and she sent me back a wink. She and David got up and gave Omere and Rebecca some space.
I got up too but Omere sat me back down. "Stay here and make sure I don't kill her." I stared back at him, he was livid.
"Rebecca, just get out of my house before I send you flying across the room."
Rebecca left without hesitation. I walked over to Omere "Baby-"
"Just give me some space right now." He brushed past me and walked out the house slamming the door behind him.
"Is he gonna be okay?" I shrugged my shoulder and looked at my big sister.
"I'm just happy you David can get passed this, I hated seeing you like that."
"I know and I hate to have to bring you into this, you don't need this kind of stress right about now."
We sat in the couch and I put my head in her lap. "I have a feeling she's gonna come this week."
Micah put her face above mine "As much as I would love that but this weekend is Dylan's baby Shower."
