Mary.

Mary walked into the upscale restaurant Michael's wife picked out for them to eat lunch. Yes Wife. "How can I help you today?" Mary walked closer to the podium "I'm meeting someone, she should be here by now..." Mary trailed off as the hostess signaled for her to follow her. Mary kept a small smile on her face as she neared the table.

"Mrs. Hastings, Hi thanks for meeting me!" Mary went for a handshake at first but Tamera surprised her with a swift tight hug.

"Tamera please, call me Mary." Tamera beamed at Mary. "I cannot believe this is happening right now! I've been asking Michael to let us meet for years."

Tamera took a sip of the tall drink that sat in front of her on the table. She was more nervous, than she could handle and maybe ordering the big alcoholic drink was not the way to go.

"So, what's the story behind this?" Mary used her hands to talk most of the time and sometimes her facial expressions said more than what she was saying. This time she was trying her best to compose herself and not jump to conclusions.

She listened to Tamera ramble off about her Michael's ups and downs. Out of habit Mary checked her watch, she cleared her throat and took a sip of water when she realized twenty minutes had passed already.

"Uh, Mary. I really want to get to know you and I know I can come off as a lot. I would also love if my children could meet their grandparents."

Mary tried to hide the shock but couldn't quite hold this one in. "Children? Yours and Mike's?"

Tamera smiled shyly "Well yes, we have two boys, Mj and Titan. Mj is 3 and Titan is about to turn 7."

Mary immediately felt a headache coming around and was grateful when they're waiter came around with their food. She took her time to put the first fork full of salad in her mouth alongside a long gulp of water.

"I don't want to come off rude but please understand my shock. I can't believe my Michael could keep your family away from his for so long. When did you guys get married again?"

"We got married right after he told me he was joining the army, I mean it was a quick trip to the courthouse but it meant a lot and the boys were there alongside my mama."

"Tamera, sweetheart, you guys should come by for dinner on Saturday and invite your mother, it's time we all get acquainted."

Tamera smiled brightly and clapped her hands "That would be amazing, do you need me to bring anything?"

"No love, just bring my grand babies on over." Mary smiled but was very thankful when Tamera called the waiter, signaling the very informative date was coming to an end.

                             Ma'Kai

"Excellent job today ladies, our next class is Thursday and I plan on working the entire body. Stay hydrated."

Ma'Kai dramatically dropped on the floor and groaned.

"Why must it be so hard to get/stay in shape."

Micah and Dylan collapsed beside her and sighed in agreement. They let a few minutes roll by while they caught their breaths and drank their waters.

"Let's go out tonight!"

Micah and Dylan looked over at Ma'Kai to see if she was okay.

"What I'm serious! Mere can stay with the kids and I'm sure Jer would love to come over. I'm in desperate need of some fun and I wanna shake my ass."
