Chapter Two

I wake with a sudden jolt. I look around and slowly remember where I am. I notice Jaydens arm isn't round me anymore and I see him making a coffee in the kitchen.
"You know them coffees have been there for well over a year now" I tell him as I watch him make it. He glances at me with a sheepish smile on his face which shows off his dimples. I smile back as he carries on.

"Oh, your phones been going crazy for the past half hour" he tells me. I nod and pick it up. 3 missed calls from an unknown number and a text from the same number;

Elena, its Kaylee, come to Fez's at some point today, we got a lot of catching up to do xx

I smile to myself as I read it again. I knew she'd come round.

"Hey, you'll never guess what" I say to Jayden

"What? You actually have something decent to eat that isn't out of date" he comments.

"Ha ha, no, Kaylee wants us to go to Fez's today so we can 'catch up'" I quote. "We're back in, Jayden!" I almost squeal. He smiles and comes over to hug me.

"What's going on?" Katie asks as she emerges from my room with Tyler not far behind her.

"Kaylee wants us to go to Fez's" I tell her.

"What? I thought she made it pretty clear she wanted nothing to do with us" she counters back

"Well, I guess she's had time to think about it" I reply "You ready?" I ask them. They nod, still tired. I nod back and head to my room. I'm hoping I still have clothes here that fit me. I pull out some denim jeans and a white baggy tank top then get changed.

"We all good?" I ask as I head to the door. They nod, still sleepy. We head out to the cars and head to Fez's. I take a deep breath as we head in. It's still the same. We go up the metal stairs and into the huge room that stretches out across fhe top of the garage. Dom, Tyrone and Luke are sat in front of the Xbox and Kaylee and Fez are sat on the sofas at the end of the room. All the beds were still there and everything was in the same place.

I missed it.

"Elena!" Tyrone squeals as he drops the controller and runs at me. I laugh at him as I hug him. Seeing as when we first met, we really didn't get on, he now seems to love me. Dom and Luke saunter their way over to us.

"How you doing, girl" Dom murmurs in his gravely voice as he wraps his huge arm round me. I smile

"I'm good" I reply and hug Luke.

"Some time today would be great" Kaylee shouts over sarcastically, I hope. We make our way down toward her and Fez then join them on the sofas. "Why'd you forgive him Elena?" She blurts out. I look at her in dumbfoundment for a moment before I answer.

"Cause' I don't believe he was ever really with that other crew" I explain. She nods slowly and looks at Fez. He nods back. Kaylee stood up and put her arms round Jayden. I sighed. Thank fuck they made up, ish.

"So who you brought back?" Fez asks as he eyes my brother and Katie.

"Tyler, Elena's brother and Katie, my girlfriend" he replies, slightly defensive. I put my hand on his to reassure him that they're alright.

"You never told us you had a brother Els?" Luke asks as all eyes are on me. I then explain what happened when we were younger with the crash and our parents. They all looked at me with pitiful looks. I averted my eyes from theirs. I didn't like anyone taking pity on me for what happened.

"And how did you come across big guy here?" Fez also asks, looking at Jayden, getting on the defensive himself. I talk more to Kaylee about what happened when Nikos found me as she was the only one who knew.

Once everyone was on the same page, I had some questions I wanted to ask.

"Where's Hailie and Dean and whatever?" I ask. They all look around at each other.

"Dean and Alicia took off to Poland, me and Hailie split so she left and Omar didn't like the 'criminal stuff'" Tyrone explains.

"You and Hailie spilt up?" I ask, pretty upset by it. He nods, not really wanting to talk about it. We sat in silence for a moment.

"Hey, we knew Alicia and Dean were together" Jayden nudged my arm, trying to divert the topic of conversation. I smile at him

"Yeah, did you guys think there was a thing going on between them?" I ask the others. They all nod.

"He's my brother, I could tell straight away" Dom says, quite proud of himself.

"Alright, alright, chill your beans" Kaylee says and we chuckle. "Bro, you got that look on your face that says 'feed me'" Kaylee noticed and got up to get him some food. He laughed but followed her. Fez, Luke and Tyrone went back over to the Xbox with Tyler and Katie following them and Dom sat with me on the sofas.

"He seems pretty distant, El" Dom notes as he gestures to Jayden stood talking to Kaylee.

"He's gonna be like that Dom, you all hated him, it's gonna take time for him to feel accepted again" I explain

"Yeah, we all hated him apart from Luke" he mumbled. I looked at him as he stared at the floor.

"You knew?" I ask

"Course I knew, I know everything, Elena" he replies with a slight smile forming on his lips. I shake my head a little but smile. "We missed you, you know" he told me in a shy voice.

"By 'we' do you mean 'I'?" I ask with a suggestive smile on my face. He tried to stare me out but failed miserabley. I laughed and he tries not to but failed.

"Alright I missed you, but is it so bad to miss my little sis?" He asks as he engulfs me in his huge arms. I smile and let myself be hugged. He called me his sister and, after the past year of not talking to him or the others, that meant a lot.

"So, we're all together now, well, most of us, what we gonna do?" Tyrone asks from his place in front of the Xbox. There was a short silence until I broke it.

"A race?"
