Your legs kicked furiously as you make your way to Rin's level. Yes. You had just challenged the great swimmer to a race, and your body ached. You honestly try to focus on touching the wall instead of staring at his body. The muscles rippled under the water as he moved up for air, then down. A speeding bullet, you gasp for air as your hand slaps the wall and water splashes on the surface a bit. "Well well, if it isn't my little fishy friend?" You hear Rin tease.
He sat on the edge of the pool, goggles up, smirking. You lost again! Getting out of the water with a huff, you grab a towel and dry off. You almost sensed Rin staring at you when going to the changing rooms as you made the towel round your body. "Tch, pervert..." You mumble, packing your things in your bag when you finished changing.
Bag on your shoulder, you make your way out of pool campus accompanied by a sigh. It was a pretty nice day, the warm sun shining down at perfect heat and the trees swaying swiftly in the slight breeze. Rin was leaning against the wall, looking up at the sky. Never had you seen something so detailed! His mouth open slightly, revealing a sharp tooth, eyes fixated on the rustling leaves of an overhead tree. His gaze then shifted to you, making a sweet shade of pink dust your face. Smiling, he came up to you and ruffled your still-damp hair. "Don't worry little fish, you'll get it next time."
"Fish? What the hell kind of name is that?" You answer.
"Well I don't know...you like the name 'sea barnacle' better?" Rin chuckled as you both started walking.
"That's even worse! If that's all you have, I'm taking the fish one." Your arms cross against your chest in disapproval of the newer nickname.
"Okay then...if I'm fish...you're shark!" You exclaim with a hint of pride at the sudden nickname you came up for him.
"Okay fish, as you wish." He poked your nose as you got closer to the house your parents rented you so you could study here in Japan. The sudden contact made the rose intensify just slightly.
