0.2 - Embarrassing Run-in

Lauren had kept her distance with Elena for the rest of the night until she showed her the room she'd be sleeping in.

Elena was intrigued by Lauren, in a way she'd never felt before, it felt right.

She was slightly saddened when Lauren had to leave, but knew she'd see her again. She was visiting so there was a big chance of Elena seeing her face again.

Lauren told them she was a Lockwood, her cousin was Tyler Lockwood, and the farest thing from Elena's mind was that Lauren could be a werewolf.

Lauren bid them goodbye, giving them each a hug and thanking them before leaving to her car and driving off.

She was slightly glad to have left, thankful Elena hadn't smelt werewolf on her. Maybe because she hadn't changed in months.

She continued to drive until she pulled into the Lockwood driveway, a smile approaching her face.

She hadn't seen Tyler in at least a few years. She kept herself distant from them for as long as she could, wanting to forget she was a Lockwood and carrying the same curse he did.

Stepping out from her car she rushed to the house where her aunt Carol was waiting with excitement.

The knock was heard and Carol rushed to the door, making Tyler confused on why she was so urgent to answer the door.

His answer came when he heard a familiar voice and face. Lauren hugged her aunt tightly before seeing Tyler, making her eyes light up magnificently.

She jogged towards her cousin and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, telling him how much she missed him.

She could smell something different about him. Something strange. It smelt a little like Elena.

"Hybrid huh?" Lauren whispered into Tyler's among him nod slightly.

"Lucky." She teased and untangled from their huge, looking around the place.

Lauren hadn't been there in years, hoping it would be slightly different than from years ago.

A knock on the door made Lauren jump. She laughed and herself before taking it upon herself to open the door.

As she did, a beautiful blonde stood waiting patiently, soon to be shocked at the new face in front of her.

"Tyler, someone's at the door." Lauren shouted over her shoulder. Tyler came running and smile once he saw his friend.

"Let her in, she's a friend." He said. Lauren opened the door wider and Caroline stepped inside.

She smelt the werewolf on Lauren instantly, just as quickly as Lauren had smelt the dingy smell of a vampire. Lauren avoided snarling at the poor girl and let her pass.

Caroline felt a feeling rush through her like never before, seeing Lauren's face put a whole different perspective on things. She wondered who she was.

"That's Lauren, my cousin." Tyler introduced, seeing the tension between the two.

"Caroline." The blonde stated and let her hand extend towards Lauren.

Lauren hesitatly went to grab her hand and shake it, a little longer than expected since Caroline wouldn't let go. Lauren snapped her hand back and turned around, grabbing her things and trudging up the stairs to her room.

The guest room was insanely huge. Looked like every other bedroom in the house. Lauren didn't mind one bit, it felt nice to be in a big room and not a small hotel one.

She set her things down and began to unpack, folding and putting away clothes. She then decide to go for a bath.

Pouring bubbles into the water she undressed and slipped into the warm water, sighing to herself and relaxed.

She was to distracted to notice footsteps coming her way and entering the bathroom. A shriek was made from Caroline as she entered the bathroom, soon realizing Lauren was naked and safely tucked under bubbles.

"Oh, my god. I'm so so sorry. I was looking for Carol and Tyler told me to look upstairs," She continued to ramble with her hand coving her eyes and a pink blush on her face.

"Caroline just please get out." Lauren stopped her from rambling and blushing even more.

"Right, sorry, again." Caroline backed away ansnd quickly shut the door behind her, catching her breath.

That moment made her confused more than ever. Lauren looked so peaceful in that bathtub, even for a werewolf she wasn't as uptight and angry as Tyler usually was.

Caroline jogged out of the room, still completely embarrassed about the situation and went to go find Carol.

Lauren on the other hand was moments away from laughing. She was slightly embarrassed from the sudden inturruption, but other than that she wasn't that bothered about it.

Finishing her bath she got dressed and left her hair wet, leaving it to air-dry. Skipping down the stairs, she caught Caroline leaving.

"See you later." Caroline whipped around at the sudden voice, only to see Lauren waving her fingers with a smile.

Caroline only nodded, "see you later."

Awkwardly she backed put of the house and closed the door. Lauren chuckled to herself and went down the rest of the stairs.

Tyler stood smirking in the hallway, leaning against the door frame. Lauren crossed her arms and gave him a look. "What?"

"What happened up there?" Lauren smiled.

"She forgot to knock."
