The dance with Elena was throughly enjoyed by both. They kept a small conversation and smiles alive.

The song ended and Lauren looked over to find Caroline, but she was nowhere to be found. It made her pout slightly.

"Guess I'll just have to take Caroline's place." Hayley said suddenly at Lauren's side.

Lauren smiled and gave a look to Elena, as if to tell her to find Caroline. Elena nodded and ran off to find her best friend as Hayley dragged Lauren to the dance floor.

Lauren kept eye contact away as she looked around the ballroom, catching Tyler and Carol dancing. It made Lauren smile and gush.

"What are you smiling about?" Hayley asked, pulling Lauren's attention away from her family.

"Carol and Tyler. They're dancing." Lauren answered, catching Caroline's blonde hair headed for the door.

Lauren was about to let go of Hayley's hands when Elena stopped Caroline from leaving. Lauren listened into the conversation.

"Care!Why are you leaving!?" Elena exclaimed.

"Because Lauren is so caught up on you and Hayley! I'd rather not stick around for your make out session with her."

Lauren shook her head as she let go of Hayley's hands and ran to Caroline and Elena.

"Caroline." Lauren called, making the anger slip away from Caroline's face. "I wanted to dance with you."

Lauren held out of hand to the blonde. She smiled and took the werewolves hand. She lead Caroline to the dance floor and lead the dance.

Elena sighed and Stefan took her side. "Trouble in paradise?"

Elena and Stefan had gone separate ways due to feelings Elena had been having for the other gender. He respected her wishes and stayed friends with her even though the break up was sort of messy.

"I think me and Caroline like the same girl." Elena crossed her arms.

"Caroline likes girls too, didn't see that coming." Stefan chuckled. "So a werewolf, huh? From the Lockwood family."

Elena nodded. "She's different. It's not my fault."

"True, but this will get messy between you two, you realize that?" Elena did realize that, but right now they were both happy as the way things were.

Lauren laughed as Caroline twirled her out and back into her arms. Caroline felt like her heart was skyrocketing. She made Lauren happy and that made her happy.

The slow song stopped and a glass was heard dining against a fork. Lauren and Caroline looked at Carol to see her standing on the grand staircase.

"I would like to thank you all for coming out. The night should last to at least midnight so continued to dance and chat. Cheers." Hoots and 'cheers' we're said as glasses were raised.

Caroline looked down to see hers and Lauren's hands intertwined and began to smile like an idiot.

"Nice moves, Forbes." Lauren said as they made their way towards Elena.

"Only with your help." Caroline blushed.

"I'll get us some punch and be right back." Lauren said, letting Caroline's hand go and walked to the drinks table.

Elena approched Caroline, keeping her eye on Lauren as well. Elena was worried that their feelings for Lauren would disrupt their friendship and she didn't want that.

"You like her, don't you?" Elena asked, smiling at Lauren when she looked over her shoulder and saw the both of them waiting.

"I'm not the only one, am I right?" Caroline sighed, nudging Elena lightly.

"What are we going to do? This has never happened before." Caroline whispered.

Elena liked Lauren, alot. Her heart beated for the gay werewolf

"We keep it to ourselves. Let her decide if she wants to be with one of us. I don't want her to come between our friendship." Elena turned to Caroline and held out of pinky finger.

"Promise me that if she chose one of us, the other backs down and just be happy for them." Caroline smiled and locked her pinky with hers.

"Promise."
