0.7 - Almost

The past week had been great for the two werewolves. They became closer since they'd been apart and kept they're days filled with each other's company.

With their arms locked they headed towards a clothing store to buy a few things; Hayley's idea of course.

"Woah, look at the dresses." Lauren wooed. Mystic Falls had some pretty amazing dresses.

"And you don't have to spend a dime. I'm paying." Lauren rolled her eyes. Hayley persuaded her to go to a dance that was being held at the Lockwoods, once again.

Lauren had planned to ditch it, but Hayley told her not to stop being so distance with her family.

Hayley picked out a purple dress and shoved it Lauren's way. "Try it on."

Lauren rolled her eyes but went into the dressing room. Surprisingly it fit pretty well. She stepped out and did a litter twirl for the other werewolf.

Hayley gave her a thumbs up while looking her up and down. "Perfect. If you don't let me buy that for you then I'll get it for myself."

"No I want it." Lauren laughed.

She changed back into her clothes and helped Hayley choose a dress. Lauren convinced her to get a red dress, saying red was alway her colour.

The purple dress and strapless red dress were what Hayley bought, with the deal of getting matching necklaces that the cashier suggested for half price.

The day continued with them eating food, more shopping and dancing to the guy that played his guitar outside a coffee shop. Both girls payed him ten dollars before going on their merry way.

When the night came the girls were helping each other with their hair and make up. Lauren didn't want to admit it, but she was excited for the party.

"You seriously need to stop being this beautiful." Hayley commented as she curled another piece of Lauren's hair.

Lauren blushed. "Shut up and curl my hair."

Hayley finished and pinned some of it back with a broch clip that shone with small diamonds. "Perfect." She announced.

Lauren took a small mirror and moved it so she could see it. "You've really improved since the last time you did my hair. And you didn't burn me."

Hayley gasped and flicked her forehead before pulling Lauren forward and hugging her. Lauren awed, hugging Hayley.

"God, I've really missed you." Hayley whispered.

"I'm sorry for leaving you. I should have just stayed." Lauren said, leaning back to look into Hayley's brown eyes.

"No, you wanted to explore and out of the supernatural world. I totally get it. I just wish you took me with you." Hayley admitted.

Lauren put her hand on Hayley's cheek. "I'm really sorry, Hayley. I can't express to you how bad I feel for leaving you."

Hayley leant into her hand but shook her head. "I was angry, for a while. But then I realized that even though you were happy with me, you were never truly happy."

"You did make me happy, I was just fed up with all the crap. I never wanted to leave you." Lauren admitted.

Hayley's eyes flickered to Lauren's lips. She leant in slowly. Lauren saw what was happening and knew it wasn't a very good idea.

"I think we should go. I'm glad we had this talk, I think we really needed it." Lauren backed away and walked out of the room.

Hayley sighed, watching Lauren go. Hayley still loved her, even after she left her for three years. She'd been waiting for her to come back in hopes they could be together. Clearly Lauren didn't feel the same anymore.

Lauren and Hayley came down the entrance stairs momentarily, seeing that the room was filled with people.

Caroline and Elena spotted the two, gawking at Lauren and how beautiful she looked.

"I swear it's illegal to look that stunning." Elena said as the two brunette's approched them.

"I could say the same for the both of you." Lauren winked, making both girls weak in the knees.

Hayley waved goodbye and went to talk to someone else at the punch bowl area. Lauren glanced at her before turning back to the two.

"So, who are your dates?" Lauren asked.

"We came here together. Bonnie couldn't make it, she was too busy." Caroline said.

"Awe, well I guess she'll miss all the fun were going to have tonight. But if I'm going to be completely honest, I wanted to ditch this." Lauren confessed.

"Really? Why didn't you?" Elena asked.

"Hayley convinced me. And she bought this." Lauren said, gesturing to the dress and necklace."

"It's beautiful." Caroline commented.

"It really is. Now, which one of you wants to dance with me first?" Elena's hand shot up and Lauren laughed.

"Alright. Don't go anywhere Caroline, you're next." Elena pulled Lauren to the dance floor and they danced. It was a slow paced song, leading them to hold each other's hands while one on one's waist and the other on one's shoulder.

Caroline watched sadly, wanting to be the one Lauren danced with. But she would get her turn. She just hoped in the end she'd fall for her and not her best friend.
