Skip this if you want. Seriously, I have way too many fanfiction ideas.
Thomas saw an Asian kid when he came up from the Box. But Minho was still out in the Maze. So who did he see?
Now, it's important to remember that at this point, Thomas was... *imitates David Tennant* "dazed and confused," so he probably just assumed they were all guys.
But how do the rest of the Gladers not know he's a she?
Simple: they don't want to.
I mean, come on. She came up from the Box with a stupid buzz cut, and although slim, she's muscular enough to pass for a slightly scrawny boy. She has absolutely no... appeal. She's quiet, works as a slicer, and, well, keep up, would you? It's not that hard to figure out. Maybe some know, maybe they don't, but the truth is, they don't really care. Although she does get quite offended when Teresa comes up and they call her "the only girl we've ever had."
Since she's a slicer, and a "shuck philosopher," every time she smells blood she says it "smells like home."
Basically her way of making threats is this: "You know, I'm feeling a little homesick."
All the Gladers know what she means.
I might somehow make it into a Minho love story. I don't know how. But she's not ending of with the Keeper of the slicers. I forget who he is. Winston? Anyway! No way is she ending up with some shuck butcher.
Wow, I feel like this part is almost as long as some of my story chapters. That's rather sad.
Also, I need a name. It has to be asexual, but also a famous woman's name. I suppose it could be a last name, like Stowe or Blackwell. Does anyone know any Chinese famous women? I only know the guys. China is sexist. No, I'm just kidding, all you Chinese people out there. I'm Chinese too, I'm just joking. Jeez. No one can take a joke these days.
Am I being too weird? Do stop me if I am.
