I caught a few rabbits for dinner, but it wasn't much. My stomach growled as I continued my journey. After a little more walking, something caught my attention in the distance, Gunshots...loads and loads of gunshots. I needed to make a decision and fast. As if my feet had already decided, I started running towards the gunshots. I hopped over branches and walkers. As I got closer, there were more and more walkers, but they had all been taken down a long time ago. Maeby they had a safe place? But why would there be gunshots? I followed the shadows as I got closer to the noise. I peered out from behind a log. There were two groups of people fighting eachother. It was a prison. One group was inside the perimeter, one was outside. It looked more like a war than a fight. As I scanned the crowd I started to recognise some of the people. Milton? Caesar? TARA!? It was the governors group. From woodbury! Why were they here? Why were they fighting these people? I saw the governor and a man in a police  uniform fighting, suddenly a samari came from nowhere, dragging the police officer away and the governor was left for dead in the field. Without thinking I ran into the field of gunfire. I rolled over a car bonnet and landed with a thud. I looked next to me to see the familiar dark brown/black hair, "I told you I would come back for you" she smiled up at me. "These people, they're good people, they didn't deserve this!" I looked over at the group who were currently boarding a bus. "Well, we're good people too, come on" I grabbed her hand and led her behind me as we ran the perimeter, making our way towards the bus. I pushed Tara behind a crate just as bullets went flying over our heads. She looked at me and smiled. "I didn't think you was coming back, I thought when I helped you escape, you would get as far away as possible" she looked down at the floor. "To be honest, that's what I was doing, but I heard the gunfire and as soon as I saw you, I knew I needed to get you out of there. I shouldn't have left without you in the first place" I grabbed her hand and pulled her in for a hug. I heard footsteps behind us and before I could turn around, the cold barrel of a gun was pressed to the back of my head. Tara turned around and  started speaking, "look, we're not with them, not anymore, you're good people. We want to help you, we want to fight for your side" the gun was pulled away from my head. I turned around to be greeted with the bloody face of the cop I saw earlier. "Nice job beating the governor senseless earlier" I held my hand out to him and he hesitated, but shook it. "Rick grimes, if you're gonna be on our side, follow me to the bus, once you're on there I'm gonna need your weapons, sorry but it's a precaution" he turned around, putting down some walkers before turning back around. I didn't mind him, he seemed like a good man, doing what he could to keep his group safe "ERM, Rick?" Me and him turned to look at Tara, she was pointing at the bus....which was leaving. "NO!" He ran after it but nothing helped. We were stranded. I looked around us, the courtyard was quickly filling up with corpses. I noticed a small fenced off area. I pushed Tara towards it. "I'm not going without you!" She grabbed my hand but I pushed her again. "Go, I'll cover you, then I will join you. trust me!" I shouted as I started unloading bullets into the undead. I heard the gate shut but as I turned around, it was easy to get swarmed in such a small area, walkers were everywhere. I had to run. I didn't want to leave her, but I had no choice. I ran towards the woods without looking back. I got to a quiet place and collapsed to the ground in an attempt to get my breath back. I looked back towards the prison. 'Don't worry Tara, I'm coming back. I'm not leaving you this time!' I didn't know whether it was a promise to her, or myself.
