Elenas P.O.V
I felt numb. I couldn't breathe. The wall my back was pressed against was hard and my feet weren't touching the ground. A huge hand was wrapped around my throat.
"Nik let her go, now!"
"Why shouldn't I just kill her? Clearly she has known for awhile."
All the mikealsons were quiet. Using all air I had I spoke up.
"It won't stop."
"Well why not!"
"It has to happen at 12:30 p.m on hopes birthday."
"Was this your plan the whole time? Kill my daughter?"
Klaus had let me go now. It's been two weeks of research for me and Kai. More on the monsters that haunt purgatory and how to un bind us. My heart ached, klaus who was supposed to be my friend. Thinks I was here the entire time to kill his daughter the whole time. The worse part is I didn't even get to finish everything before he jumped to conclusions. How about I just start from the beginning.
15 minutes earlier
"You've found the spell we used, good. Now I don't have to suffer through telling you everything."
"Silas haven't you done enough and now you won't leave me alone! Get out of my head!"
"Can't. I just wanted to let you know. There is no way out of the spell except to kill hope for good. Clearly you don't want to do that, so looks like your stuck. You're running out of time anyways hopes birthday is two weeks away."
"Please don't do this. I know your really evil and everything, but you can't let a child die!"
"Why do you have to be so good! You look and sound exactly like the love of my life but seeing you and hearing you makes me want to die."
"Your already dead."
"Not the point. The point is your really annoying and it's time to tell the mikealsons about the spell."
My breath hitched in my throat has I sat up in my bed. Oh no Silas is making me tell them today.
"Kai!"
"What's wrong tiger?"
"I um just saw Silas, again. There is no way out of the spell unless we want to kill hope, and I'm not doing that."
My opinion I need to learn how to not cry, and that's exactly what I'm doing now. Kai pulled me into a hug.
"Tiger we don't even know which one of you three is going to die yet."
"Yes we do. It will be me. The whole point is they have to choose out of three of us Kai. Who's known about the spell for 2 1/2 months and didn't tell them? Me! Who isn't they're family? Me. Who will most likely die? Me! Kitten I don't want to go to purgatory."
"I'm so sorry, Lena."
"Silas said I have to tell them today. About the spell."
"I'll come with you."
"Are you sure you want to?"
"Of course your my only friend."
After Kai left the room I dragged myself to my closet and then slipped on a white lacy crop top the sleeves down on my shoulders and a pair of stain washed overall shorts. Then paired it with a pair of white ankle boots. Just because I feel like shit doesn't mean I have to look like it. Hurrying up and getting it out of the way she sent a mass text message to the originals:
I'm coming over I have some important news to tell you guys and Hayley.
Marcel met us at our front door. Him and I have gotten close and I told him everything. I'm really happy I have him and Kai. My moral support, I guess.
"My news is bad. Hope has a spell on her."
That's all I had to say for klaus to start choking me. You already know what happens next so I'll skip ahead to after he let me go.
"You didn't even let me finish klaus."
"I don't need to! How long have you known?"
"About two months."
Then I was choking again, but this time by Rebekah. Except this time Kai intervened and put a spell on them where they have to stand still.
"What the bloody hell did you do?"
"Listen to what she has to say and I'll release you."
Rebekah kept quiet. Kol hasn't even looked at me since I said anything. Which makes everything hurt and I don't even know why.
"When I was in that coma thing or whatever someone got in my head. It was Silas. When the other side collapsed powerful witches had to stay. Silas wants to ruin the witches that are still alive for making him not find peace with his one true love. Well he found a way to get back at them. All witches want you guys dead or have some sort of humanity. Well they can't kill you guys and finally you guys seem to have found humanity. Hope, Hayley, and me. Silas wants to destroy one of your guys humanity. Now that's exactly what he is doing."
"How is he doing that Elena?"
"Silas, your mother, and another witch cast a spell linking hope, Hayley, and I together. One of us has to die for the other two to stay alive. If one of us doesn't die on hopes birthday we all die."
"You didn't think to tell us this before! We could have found a way out of it!"
"Silas was going to kill hope if I told you before he said I could klaus. Sorry I wasn't going to let that happen. Kai and I looked for a way out everywhere there isn't one."
"What are we gonna do?"
"I don't know what your going to do Hayley but I'm going to die."
With that being said I pushed off towards the library. Pulling off a book on purgatory. Studying my new home. Someone came and sat across from me., but I ignored them.
"Purgatory. Interesting choice in book. Should I be worried about the girl I chose to hit on today."
Alright I'll admit the guy was insanely good looking. With shaggy dirty blonde hair and bright grass green eyes. He wore a button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows were I saw a hint of a tattoo on his forearm.
"You should be extremely worried. You see I'm kind of a monster."
"That's okay. I am too."
His face changed and he had fangs all over the inside of his mouth wear his regular teeth just were. The weird thing was is he is some new kind of monster and I wasn't even scared.
"What are you exactly?"
"A vampire."
"Hmm well I guess there are two kinds of vampires then. Cause I'm one too."
When I showed him my vampire face he pouted.
"Your vampire face is hotter than mine."
"I'm sorry?"
"Why are we reading about purgatory."
"We aren't reading about anything. I'm reading about purgatory my new home I guess."
"Your new home?"
"It's a long story."
"If your going to purgatory your gonna need to know how to defend yourself. There are monsters there stronger than vampires."
"I'm aware. I have been studying purgatory for the past month."
"Here let me take you to a friend of mine. Believe it or not I'm friends with a hunter. He'll help you. Well if your a good vampire anyways."
"I'd like to think I am. I'm Elena by the way."
"Jaxson but you can call me jax. Now do you need permission to go on a little trip?"
"Nope. Everyone here basically hates me anyways. Let's go."
Kol's P.O.V
Did Elena just say she was going to die? Why do I get the sense she is leaving something out?
"Kai. What did Elena not tell us?"
"She- well the mikealson who loves the person you choose to die the most has to be the one to kill them."
"I'm assuming this isn't part of the original spell? My mother did this?"
"Yes the original witch added this."
"Our mother is such a witch bitch dead or alive."
"Elena has already chosen to be the one to die. Which I'm completely against."
"Well Kai your the one living with her. Why'd she decide to be the one to be killed?"
"She thinks you'd choose to kill her anyways. Hayley and hope are family. She isn't."
My heart pounded in my chest hard. The thought of loosing Elena makes me want to die. Also knowing no one in my family even cares if it's her anymore. Klaus and Rebekah attacked her! Elijah loves Hayley more. To top it off Elena thinks no one cares so she is just going to be the one to die.
"I can't let Elena die."
"Would you rather hope or Hayley die."
"Actually Elijah. I'd happily kill Hayley. Elena means a lot to me. I'd count her family any day over Hayley over here."
Klaus's baby mama looked offended.
"Just because you guys don't care about Elena doesn't mean I don't."
"You're wrong there kol. I care about little red."
"You just attacked her!"
"Before I knew everything! I didn't see you defending her brother."
Well he had a point there. Hope is family and Elena didn't tell us she was in danger, but she had a good reason.
"We have to find Lena. Kai know where'd she would be?"
"Check the library or the bar. She has been going through books on purgatory ever since she found out that's where she will go when she dies."
"I'm sorry what?"
"Oh right she left that part out also. The three aren't just linked to each other they are also linked to purgatory whoever dies goes there."
"Do you know how bad purgatory Is witch?"
"Of course I do! Elena does to, but she still thinks she should die and not the other two."
"I'd rather Elena be the one to go there than hope or Hayley."
"Elijah I'm so tired of you!"
Klaus had his hand inside of Elijah's chest. Which surprised us all. Elijah and klaus has always been the closest except klaus and Rebekah.
"If you do not stop saying you'd rather have Elena die than your precious Hayley I really will kill, brother and that is a promise."
Through his pain Elijah was able to mutter words knowing everyone could hear.
"Your in love with her aren't you klaus?"
That's when everything in my world stopped. Am I seriously competing with klaus for Elena?
"I never want to see you again Elijah. Right now as far as I'm concerned the only brother I have is kol. He seems to have a heart for other people besides Hayley."
Through all of this none of us knew Elena was leaving town with a new kind of vampire.
