Shak searched in the surroundings for any ship in which he could scape, but it was hopeless, there was almost nothing. He headed back to the village to seek if anyone possesed a ship, he went to ask to Brother Viscus and he was lucky to hear from him that there were still two ships in the village, Shak told Brother Viscus what he was going to do and Viscus decided that maybe he could help him to accomplish what he seeks and maybe he could even avenge mother Talzin's death. so he led Shak to the ship and gave some provisions for his flight, he then told him that he should seek for the Son of Dathomir, that he could help in completing his training in the dark side, Shak thanked for the information and proceeded to leave, he thought that for finding where Maul resided he should go to the place were all happened but it was too dangerous for him to go alone to Mandalore so he decided that maybe a safer place could be the best option so he went to Coruscant were maybe he could find learn about what has happened and maybe find a temporary master until he is able to find Maul.

When Shak finally arrived to coruscant he directed himself to the Underworld because in the surface there were many Jedi's so he preferd to avoid Jedis for now and everything related to them. When he reached the Underworld he was confused about all the things that were all over the place, he walked a bit of time but he found nothing until he bumped with someone, it was tall and had a mask, by the look of the body it was a "she", she looked at Shak and said "The Underworld is no place for a kid, what are you doing here?", Shak mooved his hand to his lightsaber slightly, he was scared of what could happen, the woman took of her mask and starred at Shak, she had a white face and was bald, and asked the same question again, Shak said nothing and then saw a lightsaber behind her, and on the other side there was another, he began to think that she could be sith hiding on the Underworld so he told her his name, and asked for her's but she didn't answer, she asked again what was he doing on the Underworld and Shak answered that he was looking for a sith, that he wanted to complete his training, the woman stayed quite and then answered "Then you are waisting your time, here are no sith" Shak made an angry expression and replied about her lightsabers when she was leaving, she stopped and said that they were stolen, but Shak didn't believe her so he moved in front of her and took out his lightsaber, everyone around starred at them and the woman grabbed his hand and took away the lightsaber. Shak looked angrily at her and then the woman said him to follow her, the woman took Shak to a dark and untransited street and asked how did he got his lightsaber, and Shak told her all the story of his father, Savage and the Darth Sidious, the woman proceeded to talk and ttold him her name, Assajj Ventress, she told him that once Savage was her aprentice and that she was the last nightsister, She told him about the time when she was a sith and how she waqs betrayed by her master. Shak lowered his head and asked if she would teach him now, but there was no answer. After a time Ventress gave Shak his lightsaber back and told him to take her back to Dathomir, there she will complete his training; Shak smiled and took Ventress to his ship and went back to Dathomir, there Ventress continued his training until 15 years later when Asajj Ventress was told to go with Quinlan Vos to hunt down Dooku and she had to leave Shak by his own and take care of himself.
