Vampire Mine

Chapter 3

I was studing the journal in the library. I kept coming across the names Jonathan and Mina. But their last names were blurred out.

I did some research on the two names. The internet directed me to Bram Stoker and a book called Dracula. "Dracula." I said. I looked throught library and surprisingly I found it.

The name I have been blacking out was Harker and I did realize this when reading the book. It was late at night on the week end.

"Mina Harker..." I whispered. "Harker?" I gasped. I began to pile up the books I was using and I carried them out of the library. I walked up the dark stairs and through the hallway. Towards my room.

Why did Integra and Alucard have to be walking down the exact hallway towards me. They walked past my room. "Do you need help with that?" Integra asked. "No I am fine." I walked past them and got to my door before I could open it Alucard's cold hand beat me to it.

"I could of done it myself." He grinned and took the top book off. "What is this." It was Dracula. "How Interesting." He snicked. "Shut up it is for important research." I said trying to take it back.

"What research?" Integra asked. "I think I might of figured out the combination." I told her. "To the case?" I nodded. She looked at the book in Alucard. "And Dracula has something to do with it." She asked.

"At first he had nothing do do with it because I was completely clueless of him." I said walking into my room and they followed.

"But then I found this." I held up the journal. "The journal of Abraham Hellsing." I said. "I was only curious with him being my ancestor. Then I came across the names Jonathan and Mina but their last names were blurred out and on purpose aswell."

Walked into my closet. "So I did some researching which lead to me reading Dracula." I walked out of the closet with the case. "Their last names are Harker." I said. "Jonathan and Mina Harker." I said with a smirk on my face. "Yes..." She trailed off.

"My mother's last name was Harker. I trailed back a while ago to a man name Quincey Harker. I track back almost 600 years to him and who is Quincey's parents. Jonathan and Mina Harker." I said. "They are my ancestors." I said.

Alucard looked at me with a shocked expression. "Your Mina's blood. But how did she have a child. I thought she died." He said.

"Things aren't as they seem." I said. "Now." I moved my fingers to the combination. M.I.N.A I spelt out on it.

It opened. "It opened." I smiled at Integra and Alucard. "Finally." I looked through the documents within it. "As I thought." I said picking up the papers. "They said the documents of him was all destroyed." I said. "But they are all here." I said.

It was late Integra had left but Alucard stayed and watched me looked throught the documents one by one. I picked up a bunch and I little box fell out of them and onto the ground. I stopped. I bent down and picked it up.

"A box?" I said. I looked at Alucard. I looked back at the box and I opened it. "A necklace." I picked it up out of its box. it was a gold chain with a ruby heart. "It is beautiful." Alucard looked at me shocked.

"What?" I questioned him. "That wasbthe first time I have heard you complement something." He chuckled. "Oh shush." I said and I saw something inside. "Here hold this." I handed him the necklace. I took it out and unfolded it.

"A note." I read it. "To my dear Mina from Dracula." I said. I looked him and he didn't have his usual cocky grin it was a frown. A sad frown.

I felt sorry for him. "Alucard?" I said and he looked up at me from the necklace. "Are you alright." I asked walking towards him.

"Mina was my love." He said I saw a drop of blood trail from his eye. "That means you're..." I looked at him. "You're Dracula." I was shocked that I never knew this.

"I am so stupid." I said looking at the ground. But then I felt arms around me. "You look alot like her. How could I not realise." He said. "Ah Alucard." I said. He released me from his hug. There was blood all over his face.

"Your face." I used my hand I wiped the blood away. "Why is there blood everywhere." I asked. "They are only tears." He admitted. "Tears?" I wiped more away. I looked into his eyes.

"I have been so mean to you. I apologize." I said. His eyes soften at me. I had a feeling this was the firat time in centuries he has shown this side of him. I stopped and looked at my hands.

"Oh god." I said walking into my bathroom. I turned the tap on to the sink and washed my hands.

I watched him walk in from the mirror the blood on his face soaked up into his skin.

I left the hot water on for too long and it slight burned me I pulled my hands away quickly with a hiss. And turned the water off.

I dried my hands on a hand towel. The burning went away. I walked past him back into my room. I began to put the documents back into the case.

I saw the necklace layed out on the bed I went to put it back into the vox but Alucard picked it up. He unlocked it and put it around my neck before clipping it on and it sat on my chest perfectly.

"But this is Mina's you gave it to her." I touched the ruby. "But now I am giving it to you." I turned and looked at him. His eyes were soft.

"Ah...um...thank you." I said quietly looking down. "No thank you." I looked back up. His lips collided with mine. My eyes were wide as he pushed me back against a wall.

I put my hands on his chest andntried to push him off. "Stop it." I gasped. "I want you." He protested. "I'm only 16." I squeaked. He pulled away. "I have waited almost 600 years for aomethong as good as this I can wait a little longer if I have to." He said before leaving.
