Start with the smallest of whispers,
A loving word, a caring thought,
A soft look every now and then
as you stare into the mirror,
trying to find flaws on the skin
you were born into.
Start with the most subtle of gestures,
a gentle nudge, a fragile touch,
a warm hug with your arms wrapped around your chest,
holding together all the torn up wounds inflicted on your soul.
Because when there is a storm brewing inside,
the only shelter you'll find is your own hide.
So be your own savior for now,
be your own hope before giving up,
for even the hardest of heartaches won't falter your steps,
if you just love yourself enough.
if you just love yourself enough.
What do you love the most about yourself? xx
