I will be better.
I will jump over the waves threatening to carry away my home.I will not give in,
even when the vine wraps around my hopes to drag me down.I will stand tall.
The shadows in the dark may try to stomp on my ground.I do not know how long I am supposed to bear this weight
of something that is often mistaken as a burden.
But no voice shall ever make me feel small for who I am.
And although I have been made to pay for my existence,
You will never be able to put a price on me again. For I will be better than you at your ultimate peak.
I will never give in.
I will stand as tall as the dreams I dare to have,
And my flight will leave you far behind.Until you're just another speck of dust underneath me.
Hiii guys! I would love to hear your interpretation of the poem. xx
