Haise Sasaki x Ghoul!Reader

(Heads up, this is a part 2 of Kaneki x Reader, so don't get too confused. Though you probably won't get too confused. Also, there will contain spoilers about all dis stuff, so yeah, enjoy :3)

You sat on the rooftop of the new Anteiku, looking out across the dead ward. It had been a couple of months now since you've returned to the 20th ward and received the news of your dead friends and boyfriend. The unwanted news affected you greatly, but you had fought through it.

But here you sat, thinking of how your life was going to be now. The only person that had accepted you enough to date you was dead and gone. You just had to move on and find someone else. There actually are some people that aren't dumb in this place.

"[Your Name]," You heard a familiar voice speak. You turned your head to meet eyes with Touka, who was already in her pajamas. "You can stay out here as long as you want, but be careful. CCG's come out here at this time." She yawned out her warning. You nodded at her statement, still silent in thought. You heard her turn away and go back into the building.

You once again looked out upon the dead ward, listening carefully to the sounds of the night. You never stayed out this late at night but you knew you were strong enough to take on just a few mere CCG members, even if they were the best.

Somewhere else out in the ward, Haise was walking the streets, looking for a ghoul. He was assigned to kill a certain ghoul, holding the folder with the information in his left hand. He looked out on the rooftops of different buildings, seeing if the ghoul was running around somewhere.

As his eyes wandered to different buildings, his eyes caught onto one figure that sat upon a rooftop. It wasn't too high or too low, but the figure itself was very noticeable. Haise let his curiosity get the best of him and went to investigate.

He stayed hidden from the figure and examined it from a distance. The figure itself didn't match the folder's description at all, but he knew it was a ghoul. The kagune that the ghoul let hangout was beautiful in color and caught Haise's eye easily.

"It's still a ghoul," Haise mumbled to himself. "So I have to kill it."

Haise then ran behind the building, using everything in his ability to stay hidden from the unknown ghoul. He climbed up the building, ready to release his kagune on the ghoul.

While this was happening, you were sensing every movement that was near. Not only that but you could smell them. They weren't human that's for sure. You still sat at the edge of the roof, ready to react to the beings attack on you.

Haise locked eyes with his target as he pulled himself onto the roof with silence. He started to unleash his kagune, ready to kill. 

You were hearing and sensing all of this, and you knew exactly how to react. Haise charged at you without a sound, preparing his kagune to stab right through you, but with you and your god-like reflexes, it didn't happen. 

This had caught Haise off guard and you stood and turned around to push him away from you with your kagune. Haise stood his ground as he slid back on the roof. He already knew this would be a tough fight. 

You stared at him, showing him how lifeless your eyes were. They've been like this for months since you had no real meaning to be happy. Haise found them kind of scary but shook it off. He charged at you again, this time letting out a battle cry. 

As his body came towards yours you stood your ground and let your kagune do the work. You tangled him up with ease, squeezing him so hard he could've died instantly if he was human. 

"You may wanna be quiet," You spoke softly but clearly. "If you wake up the neighborhood, I'm gonna have to kill you silently." You promised yourself you would kill every CCG member you could when given the chance, this was one of those. Haise struggled in your grip but was still able to breathe properly. 

He stared into your eyes, his eyes softening when he looked at you. You seemed familiar to him, and him to you. You both just stared at each other piecing together the different pieces. You wanted to say it was Kaneki, but you know that wasn't true. He had a little bit of memory that he didn't lose, and that was you.

"K-Kaneki...?"

"[Your Name]?"

You stared at each other for just a little bit longer, before you dropped him on the ground. Your breath was hitched as you stared at Haise wide-eyed. He stayed on the ground, looking at you. Haise was confused to who 'Kaneki' was, but all he could remember of you was that you were special to him and you left. You didn't want to believe it. 

Your eyes became teary as you backed away from Haise. You turned around and ran away, jumping across the different rooftops. All you had to do was get away from him, that's all. 

Haise still sat there, confused but happy. He actually remembered. That was the one thing he remembered from his past. 

"I've missed you [Your Name]..." He whispered to himself, smiling as he watched you run away in the distance.
