Kageyama x Suicidal! Reader

WARNING: This will be a dark one, and it will involve cutting and suicidal thoughts and attempts.

A river flowing beneath me. A dark gloomy sky floating above me. The vague sound of soft petals of rain falling down from the dark clouds above onto my cold shaking body below. I stood atop a bridge, that was above the river. I looked down at the water, seeing it ripple as the raindrops hit its surface. 

I betcha the water's cold, and it's rocky at the bottom. 

Suddenly my body gave out and I was falling forward. I felt the hot steaming tears fall down my cold face. 

Given up.

"[Your Name]-chan..."

No, go away. 

"[Your Name]-chan."

Stop.

"[Your Name]-chan!"

Leave me alone.

"[Your Name]-chan!"

Your head suddenly snapped up and turned to the voice. You were greeted by the small red head that you knew too well, and his girlfriend and best friend standing right behind him. You hadn't realized it at first, but you had fallen asleep during the last few minutes of class. 

"[Your Name]-chan, are you alright? You're crying." Your best friend, Hinata's girlfriend, asked you. Your eyes went wide as you wiped away the free falling tears from your soft [s/c] skin. 

Your voice was shakened but you replied, "Oh, it was just a bad dream. Nothing too big." [Best Friend's Name] nodded at your words. Hinata also nodded, but Kageyama was hesitant to. 

The black haired setter noticed how you've changed over the past few months. You've been falling asleep more often in class, you weren't eating as much, you weren't going to volleyball practices to watch or just be there, and you even changed the way you spoke. Altogether, you weren't the [Full Name] that Kageyama once knew. 

You were so cheerful and loud back in middle school, but now you weren't [Your Name]. You were just [Your Name]. You had a zing, and you lost that zing. Kageyama missed that zing. 

He would've said something about it and talked to you, but he was too afraid to. He felt like he would lose you if he talked to you about it. 

"So [Your Name]-chan, are you gonna come to volleyball practice today?" Hinata asked you, a little bit of hope sparkling in his eyes. You sighed and looked away from him in shame. 

"Gomen Hinata, but I can't go today. I have family matters to attend to. But next time I will, I promise," You replied, giving him a small smile. Hinata couldn't help but smile at you, and you, of course, smiled back. It was kind of your thing. 

"Okay. I'll excuse you!" You couldn't help but giggle at the little orange ball of energy that stood in front of you. 

"Arigatō Hinata," You thanked him. Hinata nodded before grabbing [Best Friend's Name]'s hand and rushed out of the classroom with his stuff. 

You sighed and looked up to see Kageyama being the only person left. You were hesitant before asking him, "Aren't you going to go to practice?" You stood up from your seat and gathered your belongings into your bag. 

"You better come next time," Kageyama muttered, yet you still heard him. She blushed lightly at his words. You turned around to see that he already left the classroom, leaving you to blush even more. You just absolutely loved his tsundere ways!

But you couldn't cherish them.

You were now walking home, looking at the path ahead of you. You glanced up to see that there were dark clouds looming in the sky, hanging over you like a ceiling. You sighed and felt your phone vibrate in your hand. You flipped it open to see it was a message from [Best Friend's Name]. You opened it and was greeted by a picture her and Hinata. 

     | From: Ya Bestie ✌.ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.✌

     | To: [Your Name] (づ￣ ³￣)づ

     | Subject: Halp!!

      | Hinata isn't focusing on practice! He keeps coming over for victory smooches! ಠ益ಠ

You let a small grin crawl onto your face and started to text her back. 

     | From: [Your Name] (◕‿-)

     | To: The Apple to the Orange

     | Subject: Interesting.. ≧◡≦

       | Lol. Well, I'm gonna be home soon, is there any actual reason you messaged me?

     | From: Ya Bestie ✌.ʕʘ‿ʘʔ.✌

     | To: [Your Name] (づ￣ ³￣)づ

     | Subject: Yeah...

       | I'm still coming over after practice to study right?

Should she? I mean, you weren't really feeling your best. But you don't want to disappoint your best friend right?

   | From: [Your Name] (◕‿-)

   | To: The Apple to the Orange

   | Subject: Of course!

     | My door will be open for you. I'll probably be in the shower or sleeping when you get there.

You breathed out as you put your phone aside and continued walking home.

It didn't take you long to get home. And when you did, the first thing you did was go straight to your room. You tore off the sweater you wore and relaxed in the cool atmosphere of your room. When your sweater was off it revealed the scars on your forearm. You were clean for a couple of weeks now since you had lost your meaning to continue cutting yourself. 

Well, altogether you had given up. You had lost everything of you. The only thing you had was your friends and your parents. But they didn't care. No one did. 

You suddenly whimpered, thinking of all of these thoughts. And then you began to think: 

I wonder what it's like to fly. 

Your mind was stuck on this thought. So you decided to investigate it. Hinata said that whenever he goes in for a spike he feels like he's flying. [Best Friend's Name] says her heart soars into flight whenever she's with Hinata. Your heart does the same when you're with Kage-

Hot, burning tears were streaming down your face as you gave all of these thoughts no acknowledgment. Just like you gave no acknowledgment to your own will to live. 

Suddenly, the only thing you saw was the carpeted floor of your bedroom. You stood atop a stool and were tying something to your ceiling fan. What are you doing? Stop that!

I want to fly...

You're gonna-

I want to fly.

And you did fly. You stepped off of the stool and let your body soar in the air of your room. The only thing you could see was the hazy vision of your bedroom, which soon became large splotches of black.

Soon, only seeing the black splotches became ruptured lungs gasping for air, and your red weary eyes kept spilling tears down your face. 

And then the last thing you remembered was hearing screaming and blacking out. 

I want to fly...

I want, to fly.
