Kaneki Ken x Ghoul!Reader

Everyone was dead, everyone that was important. After months of being gone from the 20th ward, you had just now realized how hell filled it was.

All of them were gone...

Yes, you were a ghoul, a ghoul that had to constantly be feeding. You couldn't help that you were this way, in fact, it was your well-known weakness. Even after you would eat an entire human you were always up for seconds.

This was one of the main reasons you were here in the 20th ward. Your sister Rize and you were constantly moving between different wards. Again, you couldn't help you two had an ongoing hunger. Yours was personally worse than hers, but she would always be more open to kill.

When you both arrived in the 20th ward, you two immediately went to the rumored coffee shop. There you both saw how interesting the ward really was, and how sweet and kind most of the ghouls were to humans.

Rize would always be the one constantly getting in trouble with Yoshimura, and you would be right beside her. You were always silent, letting Rize handle the talking. You did do most of the killing for you two, but Rize would kill for her own most of the time.

You both thought that it would be easier to live in the 20th ward. Well, that was until a certain black haired male came along. Kaneki, that damn Kaneki, he was mostly the reason you were in this mess now.

You and Rize had noticed him and sadly Rize got to him first. You had no interest in eating him, personally, you thought he was cute. But Rize had different plans and you noticed it immediately. When Rize and Kaneki went on that date, you had followed them completely unnoticed. When she was about to kill him, you had swooped down and pushed her off. That was all you did. Then all of that metal had crashed down upon her.

I..I didn't mean too...

Those words were constantly running through your head.

If I didn't get in the way...
If I saw him as food the way Rize did...

Now she's dead, along with yourself mentally. You couldn't really function correctly after her death. The guilt of your sister's death and the thoughts of you being the cause of it had been flowing through your mind without an end. You were so badly messed up that Anteiku had to take you and nurse you back into a normal functioning ghoul.

You had been living there for two months. And within those two months, you saw Kaneki again. He was grateful for your savoring, but it still hurt at the time. He didn't know that you two were related.

As time went by, you two got to know each other and everybody at Anteiku. You and Kaneki even got into a relationship, which now had been lasting for 3 months.

But now, you laid there being kicked because you were trying to protect him. And you got caught.

You two were ambushed by the CCG and luckily had your masks on before they could see your faces. But when Kaneki was about to get stabbed, you jumped in the way. You had blocked the weapon away from your bodies easily, but the force of the weapon had knocked your mask off, revealing your face.

You were done there, you both quickly left with the injured CCG members to bleed out. But word got around fast here.

"Are you crazy?!" Nishio screamed, causing you to flinch. You stood in Anteiku, with everyone there, staring at you. You looked down, ashamed of what you caused. Your [h/c] covering your [s/c] face.

"You do understand that your stupid actions are going to get us all killed!" Everyone was silent, almost too afraid to even say anything without it getting carried away. Tears were now trickling into your [e/c] eyes.

"I..I was just trying to protect Kankei.." Your voice was shaken, a single tear falling down her face.

"Oh you little-" Nishio went to strike you. Kaneki, Touka, and a few others shouted out, trying to halt Nishio's hit. Your instincts had kicked in and you used your kagune to block his hit. Anteiku was silent once more.

"That's enough Nishio," Yoshimura's soft old voice stepped in. "I will take over from here," Nishio growled and glared at you before walking away. Yoshimura soon took his place, looking down at you. He had no expression on his face.

"[Your Name], can you please look at me?" You lifted your head, eyes red from crying. His expression was soft, but you knew you had a very large punishment that was going to come into play.

"[Your Name], on behalf of Anteiku and every other ghoul's safety of the 20th ward, I hereby banish you. You will leave the 20th ward and not come back."

Your tears began to fall faster, leaving your cheeks to be soaked in tears. You understood why your punishment was this. You didn't want to be the reason for everyone's death, you already were the reason for Rize's.

"Yoshimura you can't do that! Why don't I get a say in this?" Kaneki's voice cut in.

"Kaneki please don't, I'm not gonna be the cause for your guys' death," you told him, your sobs barely coming out as you spoke. Kaneki sighed and looked at you before he looked back at Yoshimura.

"Sir, can I please have a moment with [Your Name]?" Yoshimura nodded at Kaneki's request and then you were dragged into the hallway. You were silent, wiping away your tears and looking away from Kaneki.

"[Your Name], look at me please." You hesitated at first before you lifted your head. Kankei looked at you with care filling his gentle eyes. He gently held your face in his hands before pressing a soft kiss to your lips. You were shocked by the sudden touch but kissed back either way. The kiss was short and sweet, but it felt like it could last an entirety. When you parted, you both looked at each other.

"Once all of this madness ends, I'm coming right back for you," Kaneki spoke, tears now prickling in his eyes. Tears were still falling down your face and a single tear down Kaneki's.

"You survive, cause I know you can."

"Nothing is going to kill me."

But now, even after all of those months, everything fell apart. You had met up with Touka and the others relived that they were at least still alive. They explained to you what had happened after you had left. You had to admit that it was kind of interesting, but you still missed the ones that had been taken.
