Emily's P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of someone entering my room.
"Wake up!" Shawn said barging into my room. "Why, school doesn't start for another two hours." I said looking at the clock by my bed. 6:30am.
"We're leaving, so get dressed and meet me downstairs in 20 minutes." he said.
"Wh-what no you said four days it's only been one!" I protested.
"Well I changed my mind and we're leaving now-"
"You can't-do this! W-what am I going to tell my family, my boyfriend?!" I cut him off.
He sighed and looked at me with no emotion whatsoever.
"I've already handled your family, find something to tell your little boyfriend." he said walking out.
"Asshole" I muttered getting up.
"I heard that!" He yelled
"You were supposed to."
I walked to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth. After finishing my business I entered my closet and fished out a pair of black jeans and a white hoodie.
I grabbed two travel bags and shoved in some clothes in one of them and the other one I filled with other necessities.
Once I was done I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.
"Finally." He said grabbing my bags walking over to an unfamiliar black jeep that I hadn't seen before.
"Is this your car?" I asked
"Yep, now get in we don't have much time."
I hop into the front seat as he gets into the driver seat and pulling out the driveway.
"So what's going to happen to school?" I asked once we hit the main road.
Before he could answer he was cut off by the blaring sound of my ringtone.
I pulled it out of my pocket a frown coming to my face when I see the caller id.
Luke.
"Hey, baby!" He says once I answer.
"Uh-hey Luke.." I trailed off trying to prevent the tears from spilling.
"Emily whats wrong?" he asked upon noticing my tone.
"Look I am so sorry, I love you okay?" I whimpered as a tear escaped my eyes.
"Emily babe whats going on?"
"Luke I love you and it breaks my heart to do this to you, but I'm leaving and I'm not sure when I'll be back or if I'll ever be back so I'm sorry but I have to end things between us." I choked out through my tears.
"Em..baby tell me at least where you're going, I need to know you're safe and okay." he whispered through the phone, I could tell he was trying not to fall apart unlike me who was sobbing.
"I-I can't tell you but I promise you that I'm okay..so please don't worry about me." I say my voice trembling.
"O-okay I trust that you're telling me the truth and that you'll be safe, can we still keep contact?"
"Of course Luke, I have to go but never forget that I love you." I say trying to calm down but the tears just kept flowing.
"Good-bye Emily I love you too." he said gently
"Good-bye Luke.." I managed to get out.
I hang up and let the phone out of my hands landing softly on my lap, as more and more tears stream down my cheek I start to tremble in my seat, I bring my hands to my mouth trying to stop myself from crying as I begin to shake in my seat.
I feel Shawn shift in his seat as the car comes to a stop, I hear him get out of the car and rush to my side and surprisingly he embraces me in an amazing hug. He wraps his hands around my waist and rubs my back in a comforting way.
My hands find their around his neck as he lets me cry into his shirt as my tears soak his shirt.
"It's going to be alright Emily, I'll make sure of it." he whispered.
I just sat there as he told me that everything would be okay, believing him.
