"What do you want, Jax?"

"I need you back...I miss you."

"You don't mean that, leave me alone. Don't call me again."

And with that I hang up.

He's probably drunk. Or high.

He can't really mean that. I'm always the one running after him, he never chases me...that's not how this works.

I'm the one who never let's go, the one who loves too easily. That's not how this is supposed to work.

I'm the pathetic one who always wants him back and can never forget.

I can't get it out of my head that he doesn't want me anymore.

I look up at the clock to see that's it's almost 4 in the morning.

Mums not gonna be up for a while...mine as well make myself some coffee..

I walk down the stairs to see my dad sitting at the table.

"Oh god, you scared me, Kota. What are you doing up?"

"Lily had another nightmare."

"Again? We need to take her to counseling..she's gonna get worse."

"You know we can't do that, it'll make her feel crazy and she can you handle that."

"But she needs it."

"Dad, we can't do that. You already know what the hell happens. Last time we tried she didn't come out of her room for a week. And she would have more nightmares. It doesn't help her. She only feels worse after them."

"But how are we gonna help her, sweetheart? She's gonna need it soon. And language, watch it."

"I help her when she wakes up. I sit there with her."

"Honey, I know. But that's not helping anything. They don't stop."

"Dad, we can't do that..and we won't. I'm just gonna help her."

"Dakota, don't get a tone with me. And I'm gonna think about it."

"Whatever dad, all I came down here for was some coffee."

"Don't be like this. It was a simple conversation."

"I know and I'm telling you what's best. Counseling don't help her. It just makes her worse."
