Everyone gasped and well, I fainted. Few hours later I woke up with a killer headache in the infirmary. "That was quite a nasty fall you had there m'lady." The nurse said. "Almost gave your poor dad a heart attack." She scolded.
"M-my d-dad?" I stuttered. "But I thought he didn't care." I winced and felt the back of my head. There was still some blood oozing out, but not so much.
"Now why would you say that? Hermes loves you very much." She started stitching my head up.
"He left me and some how I ended up a slave, yeah that sounds like a father." I grumbled.
"He just wasn't able to raise you, he was to busy to take care of you. Seeing you hurt and basically cursing him broke his heart." She sighed. "You've missed some class work so I brought it here....I also kind of finished it for you." She smiled.
"Thank you." I sighed and laid my back against the wall finishing the rest of my homework. I looked over to my left and saw a vase full of roses. "Who left these here?"
"Oh I don't know, some boy came in while you were still out." She replied. "He looked about a year or two older than you though." If it wasn't Ezio than who was it? "Hey, I've got some where to be, are you going to be ok alone?" I nodded. "I'll send someone in to watch you, just incase if you pass out again." I shrugged and she walked out.
I started to read my scroll and a few minuets later I felt the cot sink a little. Someone must be sitting on the end of the cot. "So did you like the roses?" The voice sounded like angels. I looked up from my scroll and saw the most charming person ever! He had medium length black hair and the most gorgeous brown eyes. My eyes went wide and my mouth dropped; I was kind of thankful that the scroll was covering my mouth. All I could do was nod. He chuckled. "I'm glad you do, I'm Rasmus. I'm in the age group ahead of you so that's why you probably don't recognize me."
"I-I'm Aldara. And I know who you are, you beat me in an archery competition a few years ago." I replied.
"That was you?" He asked then started to ponder. "Ah now I remember you. You came second right?" I nodded. "Oh, well then, I guess now you have something to look forwards too." He smiled.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I've seen you around and well I like you. A lot. And I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me." He sat closer to me.
"Really? That sounds...." I paused and he stared at me. "That sounds great!" I replied.
"Great! I'll see you around dusk tomorrow." he got up and sat by my side.
I bit my lip. "I don't know if tomorrow will work; I have to prepare a banquette for the gods tomorrow." He wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"I'll help you, then you can get out early and then we can have more time together." He kissed my cheek.
"So who are your parents?" I asked curiously.
"Zeus and one of Aphrodite's daughters." He replied. "Now I'm sure you're well enough to go to the dining hall to eat right?" He got off the bed and held out his hand to me.
I took his hand and smiled. "That I am." He smiled and wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked out of the infirmary together. I became worried because a slave girl is in the arms of one of the most hottest guys in the school.
When we walked into the dinning hall everyone looked at us and some of their mouths dropped open. He put his mouth by my ear; "Don't worry k? I'll get something for us to eat and you go find us a place to sit." He hugged me and got in the lunch line. I sighed and found a corner table and sat there silently.
I could see some jealousy in some girls eyes and Callia just glared at me full of anger. She knocked over her food on the ground and then gave a sick grin at me. "Slave girl! Clean this up!" She commanded.
I sighed and got up. "Yes ma'am." I can't say no because I could get severely punished. I shrugged over to the mess and got on my hands and knees to clean it up.
"Aldara, what are you doing?" I looked up to see Rasmus.
"Cleaning up Callia's mess." I sighed then threw the food away.
She smacked me. "That's mistress Callia to you! And if you know what's good for you, I suggest you go get me more food." She stood there with a grin across her face knowing she's won.
I sighed and started walking. "Aldara, go sit down." Rasmus commanded. I stared at him horrified. "Callia, Aldara is not your slave. She's a slave to the gods, not gods in training or a demigod like you." He said calmly. "You spilled your food now go get your own. If anyone decides to even hurt or make Aldara do anything thing for them, I will find you and you will find out what happens then." He threatened. Everyone didn't question his threat and Callia walked away with hatred on her face.
I walked over to were Rasmus was sitting and sat next to him. "Thanks Rasmus."
"Anything for you love." He smiled and we started eating. Could today get any better?
