"There you areee." My dad slurs. I grimace and hold my cheek. He grabs my wrists "Where is my dinner you bitcth." I frown and look down, "I-I just go home from school." I say. "Who was that boy out front with youuu." My dad looks at me angrily. "That was my friend Hayes." I say only to get smacked again. "Don't lie, friends don't kith each other." I feel a tear go down my cheek as I continue to look at the ground. He jerks my chin up to look at him, and I pull away. This of course was a mistake, He balls up his fist and punches me in the stomach, My hands leaving my face to go to my stomach. I kneel to the ground winded. I wait for him to hurt me again, but it doesn't happen. Instead the door opens to reveal a very pissed off Hayes. His eyes go to me first and then to my dad. He tackles my dad easily. My dad falls almost instantly, Hayes stands up and glares down at him, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!" Hayes yells angrily. My dad just smirks back up at him, "It's not like she matters, she's worthless." This only angers Hayes more, "ARE YOU INSANE, YOU HAVE THE MOST AMAZING DAUGHTER EVER. AND YOUR A PRICK IF YOU DON'T REALIZE THAT." He kicks my dad on more time before rushing over to me, he picks me up and I cry into his shoulder. "Wh-Where are we going." I ask shakily, "We are going to my house." He whispers soothingly in my ear. He carries me all the way to his house and sets me down on his couch. "Let me see." He demands, I show him my cheek, my stomach, and my wrists, something I was dreading but my dad had also left marks there along with my scars. Hayes's face stays angry, but turns soft when he sees me crying. "I'm going to go get you some ice for you cheek." He says before standing up and going into the kitchen." I wait patiently for him to come back, I play with my hair. "Here." He smiles handing me an ice pack. "I can't thank you enough." I say smiling up at him. "You really don't need to thank me." He says looking down at me. "I'm just glad I was there." I smile but in turns into a look of confusion. "Wait, why were you there." He blushes and responds, "I was coming back to your house to see if you wanted to come over and have and American Horror Story marathon." I smile at this, "We can have one now!" He quickly puts Netflix on and lays down on the couch next to me cuddling me. "Hayes?" I ask, "Yeah?" I think for a second before saying, "Thanks for being my Superhero." He smiles looking down at me and kisses me lightly before the sound of American Horror Story fills the house.
