"Look at him," Maddie whispers to me sneakily, peeking over my shoulder."He's hot, and one of our star football players. C'mon Paige, you can't tell me that you don't find that boy attractive," She rants to me before I finally turn my head to see who she was talking about.
Maddie can get any guy she wants. I mean, she's gorgeous. Hazel eyes that change color when the light moves a certain way, and long brown hair that comes down to her chest.
"Absolutely not," I mutter making Maddie pout.
"Are you sure you're not lesbian?" Maddie says and I choke on my sandwich.
She's my best friend, I love her, but sometimes I want to strangle her. She and I have been through everything together. She was there for me when I needed it most. She was the only one who understood. Who cared. Well the whole Tomlinson family really.
"No, I'm not. It's my first day back here," I hiss to her. "I don't want to seem like a slut. And it's still the beginning of sophomore year. Besides none of these guys have an IQ higher than thirteen," The last sentence causes her to glare at me.
"Except for your brother, but I'm not dating him," I add on quickly while she sighes in frustration.
I've lived in Texas from Kindergarten, all the way till my freshmen year when my mother decided to move us to California.
"What about-" She continues to scan the cafeteria as I groan, "holy shit. Well Paige, if you don't want a man, I'll take that one."
I lift my head up cautiously and risk a glance towards the boy Maddie has her eyes set on.
He's cute, Maddie has good taste I'll give her that.
She's always had an eye for a boy that'll piss her parents off. And this guy fits the description perfectly. He screams trouble.
His clearly dyed blonde hair and blue eyes both stand out in the dull light of the lunch room. He's not very bulky, but he's not tiny either. And his pale skin surprises me considering how sunny and hot it is in Texas.
The three others that were following him in look nothing like him though, except they all have on dark clothes. Did they all dress for a funeral? Especially the one with the curly hair. I wouldn't be surprised if that kid just came from a cemetery.
Both of his arms contain scattered tattoos, which he doesn't even bother to cover up.
How the hell has he not gotten in trouble for that?! I'm not allowed to have blue tips in my hair but he can have multiple tattoos on his arms?
He's definitely more muscular than the blonde, but he's still fairly skinny compared to the other two boys.
He seems like the most intimidating in the group. Even with those childlike, bright green eyes, I wouldn't want to approach him. And I really don't plan to.
I don't get to see much of the other boys, except they are a lot better built than the other two.
As soon as they all enter the lunch room though, the whole student body seems to have leaned away from them a bit subconsciously.
