A few months later...

Dawn's Pov:

Soon it was the beginning of June. As the days went by I couldn't help, but miss hanging out with Harry. The last time I had seen him was at the Zoo a few months ago.

Every day I practiced gymnastics and fencing, and continued my hobbies of building and modifying mechanical things.  From time to time I would go get spare parts from the local junk yard.  One day I had come back with a bunch of spare parts in my arms, when I saw that one of the cats was about to trip up Mrs. Figg again.  Without thinking about it, I said to the cats "Stop!"   And all of the cats stopped what they were doing to look at me.   My jaw dropped, when I saw that all of them had listened to me.   I shook my head, then asked the cats to not trip Mrs. Figg again.   To my surprise all of the cats seemed to nod and say, "Yes Miss, as you wish."   I continued on down the hidden stairs to my workshop area.  Which was next to my room and bathroom.  Setting down the spare parts, I got back to work on one of my projects.

A week and a half later, I spotted Mrs. Figg walking down the stairs from the Attic.  I noticed that she had slipped on one of the steps and started to fall.  I said, "Freeze!" and to my surprise she froze in mid-fall.  I thought for a second and remembered when I saw the film trilogy, Star Wars, and I wondered if I could do a Jedi trick myself.  So I put out my hands and mentally tried to pull her toward me.  It started to work, to my surprise, I mentally pushed her toward the couch and she ended up landing softly on the couch.  Mrs. Figg looked over at me and said, "Thanks for catching me!"  Then she smiled at me and said, "Oh, by the way, your eyes flashed silver for a moment when you said freeze."  I blinked at her speechlessly and just hugged her.

On the morning of June 30th, I walked downstairs to the kitchen and found Mrs. Figg already awake.  She smiled at me, and said, "Why don't you go sit down at the table, I'm almost done cooking over here."  A few minutes after I had sat down, she came and put a plate of scrambled eggs and veggie-bacon in front of me.  Then she put a platter of pancakes on the table with syrup and butter.  And sat down at the table with her own plate of scrambled eggs and bacon.   I said, "Wow, thank you!" then picked up the salt from the table and preceded to salt my eggs.  In reply she said, "You're welcome. Happy birthday!"

I had just finished my scrambled eggs and veggie-bacon, when she asked, "Thirsty?"   I nodded and she got up to get me a glass of juice, when suddenly there was a hoot at the window

I had just finished my scrambled eggs and veggie-bacon, when she asked, "Thirsty?"  I nodded and she got up to get me a glass of juice, when suddenly there was a hoot at the window.  I glanced at the window to see a surprise of an owl with a letter in its beak.   Mrs. Figg opened the window and carefully took the letter from the owl, then the owl flew away.   She shut the window, brought the letter and a glass of my favorite juice over to me.  She said, "The letter is for you!" then handed me the letter and my glass of blueberry – pomegranate juice.
