Lila was tickled pink that Eric was here with us she sat in the back with him the whole ride home to our new home. While I sat up front with Mom and her friend's gift I got her at the Charlotte Airport.

When Mom pulled up to the house I looked at it and smile it was a lot larger than the one back in America, it was a 2 story house and a large garage for all the vehicle's which I liked that too. After pulling up Mom left the car running since we weren't staying but we did help Eric take his stuff into the house then we was on our way to the hospital.

"Mom I'm really sorry about the other day I didn't mean what I said I was just hurting since I thought I would be alone." I said as Mom grabbed my hand and brought it up to her lips and kissed it.

"It's ok sweetie, I'm sorry too." Mom said lighting a cigarette and handed it to me and lit her one as well.

"So, is she going to make it?" I asked talking about her friend.

"Hopefully, but it's hard telling she's really sick." Mom said.

"Something that we can catch?" I asked.

"No honey, she's got cancer she just under went chemo, Connor said if she pulls out of it that she will be going back home to Ireland." Mom said.

"I hope she get's better." I said. "Lila said your friend is a teacher at the college." I added.

"Yep, he is a history teacher, but I'm going to let you know ahead of time things are going to be different at this college honey." Mom said paying attention to the road.

"Why is that?" I asked.

"Well because you will have to wear a uniform when you go, but you don't have to wear one tomorrow since the college will have to know your size." Mom said as she started to slow down since we was pulling into the Hospital.

"Oh I see." I said as Mom pulled into a parking space and parked. Then we got out and walked into the Hospital.

Once in the hospital we took an elevator to the 10th floor and stepped out. The hospital here didn't have a smell at all unlike the hospital's back home. The hospital back home smelled of death and sadness.

I waited in the lobby since Mom was at the front desk and asked to see Carla Murphy and a nurse came out and had us follow her. Then we stopped at room 158 and the door was open.

"Here Mom you give it to her you know her I don't please give it to her." I begged and mom nodded and took the bag from me before walking in to the room. I stayed out in the hall.

Cynthia's POV

Connor was sitting in a chair next to his mother who was now sitting up and talking alot better since the last time I was here earlier. Connor looked at me and smiled.

"See I told you Momma she was coming back to see you." Connor said smiling at his Mother.

"Hi Carla are you feeling any better?" I asked.

"Oh yes honey. Thank you for asking." Carla said.

"What's that?" Connor asked looking at the bag.

"It's gift's for your mother, their from Bobby, she picked them up When she was still in America." I said getting ready to hand the gifts to Carla.

"Did she come with you?" Carla asked.

"Yes, she is sitting out in the hall, she wanted me to give them to you, she's kind of shy but she's got a heart of gold." I said smiling at her knowing what she was going to say next.
