Why do you kiss the ground they walk on? why do they let you think it's fair?
You're patience is dropping, it's dwindling.
Your lungs won't breathe in air.
You're sick and tired of how you feel but you never make a move.
To escape from this, to something real, all you have to do is prove.
That no one else can falter you're ever changing mind,
That you don't deserve the pain you've felt or get to be left behind.
You're smarter than that.
You're sweeter, kinder, more thoughtful than that too.
Than to let someone in to rack your brain until they've got control of you.
I wish you'd seen it from the start but damn, with that big heart,
You've broken barriers, you've torn down walls,
You've picked up everyone who falls.
But don't you think it's time think about someone else?
Someone a little closer to home, don't you think you need to start thinking about yourself?
Your patience, yes it's dwindling,
But who is that at fault?
You can blame it on somebody else but of course it's you who's caught.
They tell you things that you've done wrong that maybe you can fix,
But they'll never know the pain they've caused to you or the things that make you tick.
