We got to school ten minutes before the bell, and from what I could tell was that the twins weren't there. At the gates I asked to see their schedules, but as I was taking the paper from them I noticed a glint of light coming from Anna's coat, I was taken aback by ,one it kinda blinded me for a second and two it seemed like a piece of metal, but I chose not to mention it.Our schedules where similar, me and Anna had second block, Dami and Coraline had two classes together, I also had Coraline for lunch and last block. I showed them vaguely which side off the school their classes where, then set off to first block hoping to live through the day.
First block went out with out a hitch, and so did second, if you could count out the odd glint of light once again from Anna's coat, and once again I chose not to say anything about it. During third block I finally caught a glimpse of the twins, but my worst case scenario happen, Jean had bumped into Caroline, who reacted a little bit too harshly, which caught Jeremy's and Dami's attention, they made eye contact. Both pairs made gentle gasps and Dami muttered "You!" But before anyone could react violently ,as I believe they would, the bell rang sending them to their classes. I could not believe my luck, I wanted to just let the new guys get settled here so they could leave me be and not let the twins meet them, but now an introduction is inevitable, leaving me with no plan to stay out of anymore drama.
I was still in my thoughts when I heard a familiar voice from the back door, I looked over to see Coraline peaking through the door, beckoning me to come. I slip through the door and shut it, looking at the blue haired girl in confusion, she glanced at me then looked away, her face red from the cold, "What?"
"What do you mean 'what' you called me out here," I said chuckling, Coraline pouted and looked down, "also why are you standing out here it must be freezing,"
Coraline glanced up, a odd look in her eye ,"It is, can't you tell?"
Crap! Forgot about the not feeling cold thing think of something quick !
"Uh yeah, I'm just numb from math, the classroom is always freezing," I mutter, glad I can't blush, "and you avoided my question,"
"Oh," She said, she seemed satisfied with my answer "I wanted to find you for l-lunch but I didn't know what class you had and I don't have your n-number-"
"Okay okay," I said, leading her back into the building , "your shivering, let's get you some warm mystery meatloaf," she moved closer to me for warmth, I looked up at her, she was looking away so I guess she did that instinctively,
"Yeah that sounds good."Coraline and I made it to the lunch room and as we got into line I flinched when two very cheery voices shouted my name. "Marry!"
And I was knocked to the ground, with two whining twins cuddling up to me,
"Oh Marry! We where so worried when you left!" Jeremy whined clutching me closer with a bone breaking hug,
"We should have walked you home, but now that we know your safe we can-"
"What the hell?!" The three of us look up to see Coraline looking very confused and flustered, I
Chuckle awkwardly ,pushing the twins off,
"Ah so um, these are the Simon twins," I say rubbing my neck, and jumped when I felt something grab my legs,
"A.K.A her best friends," Jean said, her brother joining her at my legs,
"Marry you know these guys?" Caroline asked, and a sneer on her face, I nodded and pulled the twins on there feet,
"Do you have a problem with that?" I ask, looking straight into her eyes, even if she was to say it was , I would back them up. Caroline seem to read my thoughts and looked away, clearly annoyed,
"No, now let's get something to eat," She said walking back into line.
The wait in line was even more awkward because the twins decided they would join us, even though they always packed their own food, and also the fact that Coraline hadn't said a word to me in five minutes, but at the register her face was filled with shock when she found her account to be empty, then muttering she gave her only ten to Dami, leaving her with nothing, I sigh and pull out my own wallet, got a twenty out and paid for it and leaving some in her account.
At the lunch table the twins where suddenly absorbed into a book in the anatomy of a dragon, leaving me and Coraline to converse, only that hasn't happen in like five minutes, until I pushed my plate away, afraid it would end up eating me if I did eat it, "You didn't have to pay,"
"It was no problem," I say ,Coraline still looked distressed,
"This is the second time you had to buy me something, and I feel like I owe you,"
"Oh, um, you really don't need to feel that way, it was my fault for the shirt anyways,"
"But you didn't need to pay," Coraline whined,
"Well that's what friends are for," I yawned, suddenly very tired, but I stopped when I saw Coraline's face, it was scrunched up as if to hold back tears, she then sniffed loudly and nodded, I would have smiled but I was already falling out of the chair, I herd the twin shout my name and felt Coraline shaking me.
