I push open the heavy door of the library, if I could still breath I would have been panting, I shake my head and trudged my way to the very back of the bookshelves, near the horror and mythology books. There is where I found Jeremy and Jean, reading a book on human dissection, sharing a grin and a chuckle from both of them. I was about to say something but Jean beat me to it "Are you going to just stand there?"
"Um, no, did you get the book?" I ask hopefully, Jeremy got up from his spot next to Jean, walking over to the bookshelf at the very back and grabbed a book from the very top. He then glided over to me and with a grin handed me the book.
"There you go, Marry," he added, before sitting back down with his twin sister, who's smirk had grown into a grin to match her brothers. Something was up, they do normally do the creepy grin thing, but not this much,
"Something wrong guys?" I ask, hoping they would give me a straight answer for once, but of course they didn't.
"Oh no nothing is wrong," Jean stated, "we're just happy our knowledge could help our dear, dear friend Marry," Jeremy finished,
I shiver, this was not the first time they acted like complete psychos, like I believe they already are, but they weren't this intense. The blond twin's eyes flashed to my face, seeming to read my thoughts, I avert my eyes and busied myself with looking at the book. It was a large Black book, in big gold letters at the top was "the Encyclopedia of the undead" I raise a eyebrow at the name and the fact that it had no author, I shrug off the unease of it and open the book, going to the table of contents, finding "zombie" at the very end.
Thankfully Zombie had the last five pages of the book, all seeming to have great detail, I subconsciously give a happy grin, oops, just signed my death wish ,again. As soon as the smile reached my lips two pairs of long, thing arm wrap around me, and two similar voices were shouting "CUTE!!!"
I struggle for a bit, but gave up, "You know, for people who love dark stuff, you two sure love 'cute' things," I cringe At saying cute, the twins stop their nuzzling,
"Well, everything we like are cute to us," Jean said, a new look on her face, a look I did not like,
"We think skulls are cute," Jeremy said in a low voice, the new expression donning his face now too, "we think ghost are cute, we think dead animals are cute..,"
"But we think our Marry is the cutest," they say at the same time, they clung to me harder now, the face you weeboos would call "yandere".
"Nope nope nope no," I say stiff as a board, I jump out of their arms " nope, not today, that's enough human contact today," I mutter under my breath, now walking away with the book in my arms. Even at the library's door I could still hear the twins conversation about how I was so funny and cute, I shiver, even after a year of their "friendship" I still wasn't used to it.
I make my way back to the class I had put my stuff in but the amazing smell came back to me, I snap my head in its direction, then having almost animalistic movements I made my way towards it, as if I was going to attack. It lead me to a fire exit were the stoners smoke during their free periods, the door was slightly ajar ,allowing the wind from out side to blow in the amazing smell, I open the door swiftly as if to startle what ever was out there, and it did.
