Prologue

Hi everyone! I had the idea for this book from one of my dreams.
The next 4 chapters will be shorter then the rest because they are intros to the characters. I hope you enjoy the book and if you do please comment and like! Anyway here's the prologue of my new book,"The Five"

200 years ago Earth was invaded. No one knew who the invaders were but we knew what they wanted. They wanted humans gone. They put all the humans on a ship. It was go or die. They sent the 3 billion that was left to Jupiter where we found something incredible. There was a shield blocking the view of the luscious green fields and exotic animals. Humans started recolonization and building civilization back up. That didn't last for long though. Soon, they found us. They looked like us, they spoke English, they even had cities and towns and technology much more advanced then ours, but they had powers of nature. They are the Diays. In return for shelter and salvation on their planet, the Diays offered a deal. Every year, 5 teams of 4 teenage humans would be offered up to fight in The City,(a specially made city rigged with all kinds of traps) till the death till one team is left. This event was later named the Fight. After breeding began between humans and Diays, the rules of the fight changed. Instead of teen humans, The Hybrids,(children of Diays and humans) had to fight. They still had to be teenagers, but some Hybrids inherited powers from their Diay parent. I'm one of those Hybrids.
One more rule was added. There would be a prize for the winning teams every five years. After you claim this prize you cut off contact with society and are placed in mansions far away. Or so they say.
My name is Fang. I'm a 15 year old Hybrid. And this year...it's my turn to fight.
