Lucy POV

My hand grazed over the mark, it was still hot. I looked at Happy, his fish completely forgotten on the table.

"Natsu" he whispered looking down he sniffed the mark on the window sill. Sparing me one last glance his wings took shape and he flew out the window.

Not wasting anytime I grabbed my keys, running out of my apartment slamming the door behind me. I ran in the direction of the guild. People yelled as I pushed them out of the way. I burst through the guild doors startling everyone, I looked around frantically hoping to catch a glance of the familiar salmon locks. A pit started to form in my stomach when I didn't see him.

"Lucy" someone gripped my shoulder I turned to see Mira's worried face "What's going on?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat, forcing a smile on to my face "Happy flew off this morning I thought he mightn't been here" I turned my head giving the guild one last once over "And now I see he isn't so I'll be going" Moving Mira's hand from my shoulder I flashed one last a thousand watt smile. Turning on my heel I speed walked out of the sight of the guild. Once far enough I leaned up against a tree. Sighing I rubbed my temples 'Where could he have gone' I thought to myself. I racked my brain for ideas, thinking of every place he use to go before he disappeared. It be so much easier if he'd never left home.

My eyes widened "Of course" I yelled taking off in the direction of the place I should've thought to look first. He would never go to the guild after all these years, he want to find Happy and the first place he check is their house.

My feet pounded against the ground as I rounded the final turn the house coming into view. It's structure so familiar yet so foreign. I use to come here and wait for him everyday with Happy, but he never came. I hadn't come here in over a year, it was all over grown getting closer I saw the door open a crack. The wood was slightly charred, the door knob half melted and deformed. Cautiously I pushed the door open wider, stepping inside I didn't see anything out of place the hammock still in it's rightful place, the old mission board still covered in the missions we did together all those years ago. Walking towards the kitchen area I saw it was still as clean as the day I came here and fixed it up. A smile creeping on to my face as the memory resurfaced.

It was raining that day, Happy sat at the window staring off. I knew what he was thinking about. It had been a little over six months since Natsu had left, Happy hadn't gone one day without sitting at the window waiting. Sighing I got up fro my chair walking over to the unhappy exceed, I started rubbing the crown of his head "Happy" I murmured

"Yea Lucy" he barley whispered

"Do you want to go home?" I asked softly still rubbing his fur

He turned to look at me "What do you mean Lucy? I am home" his small vice cracking a little at the end

I shook my head "Not here Happy, I mean you and Natsu's house"

He looked taken back, his eyes wide in shock. He stared at me for a few minutes before a small smile broke on his face as he nodded "Yea Lucy, it be nice"

We had spent the whole day in this house all that time ago. I'll never forget how Happy kept smiling the entire day. We cleaned everything leaving it prefect for when Natsu came back. I sighed again running my hand across the tables smooth surface. My gaze landed on the mission board once again, walking towards it a small note I had never seen before stuck out from the rest of the papers. The edges were brunt ever so slightly, and it looked newer then all the other papers Picking it from the board I gasped reading it.

Thanks for cleaning up Luce. It looks great. Thanks for taking caring of Happy, he needs you. I'll be watching. Forever in your debt. -Natsu

Tears welled in my eyes, he was here. He was back in Magnolia. I couldn't believe it, my knees gave out and I sank to the floor. Tears a steady stream down my face, he was back.

"Lucy" Happy yelled flying into the house. He looked concerned "What's the matter?"

I gulped not knowing what to say. The same two words kept repeating over again in my thoughts. So I spoke them out loud watching Happy face contort into a mix of emotions.

"He's back"
