-------------------

The rain was not an obstacle for the kunoichi as she dashed towards her village. Her heartbeat increased rapidly, praying for the safety of everybody in the village.

Especially a certain silver-haired masked man.

The rain poured harder as the winds howled loudly. Fuyu's breath became very unstable. It was the same as the day she had lost both of her parents.

"No!!! Not again!!!" She screamed at herself and ran faster towards Konoha. She sighed with relief as she saw the gates of Konoha in front of her eyes. The rain calmed itself along with the wind.

That could be a good sign, right?

Fuyu halted her steps. She let her jaws dropped as watched the scene in front of her.

"What.... happened here?" Her voice was unstable. She couldn't see the tall buildings that had always greeted her when she returned from missions. Heck, she didn't see a single shinobi at all, even if she had entered into Konoha.

Fear pumped into her blood as the ice princess searched around Konoha to look for a certain ninja. The wind had started howling again, this was definitely bad news. Her body started to shake intensely as flashes of that haunting day seemed to flash even faster in her memory.

"No, Nami. He'll be okay. Kashi will be okay." She tried to convince herself, but why was she a crying mess now? The tears continued to fall down even faster. Her eyesight became foggier by the second. The kunoichi's steps too had become slower. Where was Iruka? Sakura? Kurenai? Her breath hitched as she remembered her pregnant friend. She hoped Shikamaru has been protecting her just as Asuma had told him to.

'Who... did this?' Fuyu looked up at the Hokage Rock. At least one of Konoha's most iconic monument was still standing. Why did this happen? She continued asking herself before realising the only logical motive: Naruto.

Suddenly, her eyes caught on something silver. With a speed that was inhuman, Fuyu rushed towards the silver thing. Her heart begged that it was him. That he was alright, probably unconscious as usual, but still alive.

The sight of rubble around her contributed to the slight confusion the princess was having. But Fuyu knew too well that gravity-defying hair as she slowly stepped towards it. Hands slowly touching his chest, Fuyu had to bit her lip from screaming. She whispered softly to him, certain he was still in there.

"Kashi, it's me. Nami." She moved a few rubbles aside and held his hand. "I'm back from my mission." No response.

"Kakashi, I'm back. Wake up, will you??? Stop sleeping!!!!" Fuyu did not want to accept the truth, the truth that...

"Wake up Hatake. Wake up!!!" She dropped down so that their foreheads would touch each other. There was no warm radiating from him, just the coldness that was increasing by the minute. 'This can't be real,' She murmured softly to herself.

"Didn't I tell you I'll lose it if you're gone? Come.... back....." Fuyu let down her walls and sobbed till her heart could be contained. The pain was similar to when she lost her parents and when she lost her comrade, but why did it felt more unbearable?

"Peasant." A masculine voice was heard behind her. "The world is cruel, they will take the ones you loved and cause you pain." Fuyu turned to see an orange haired teenager with weird eyes looking at her.

"And slowly, that pain turns into hatred. Just like how you feel."

The wind howled loudly, it seemed to be whispering something to the ice princess. Fuyu gave him a death glare, as she took in a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"Ahhh... then I guess all my hatred is now directed to you." She opened her eyes once more, the sapphire eyes sparkled wonderfully as it greeted the strange eyes the man held.

Pain dashed towards Fuyu, only for her to avoid his attack at the last minute. She summoned a snow blizzard so strong, the rubbles around them had frozen itself, excluding Kakashi's body, which Fuyu swore to protect at her best.

She was confident that the person in front of her was responsible for all the attack in Konoha. Her sane mind told her to run, that this was no opponent for her, but her broken heart had controlled her body first, determine to take revenge on her beloved's death.

------------------------

That sound. Iruka ran towards the sound of the wind cracking and ice blocks being risen. Nami's back.... and she probably had seen Kakashi's dead body. Iruka felt a sudden cold aura engulfing him. It was the exact same thing that Sandaime had told him weeks before his death.

Nami had finally lost it.

He crawled slowly towards the scene of her fight. It was very cold, guess Nami wasn't accepting Kakashi's death well.

Iruka felt like he had been a contributor to his death.

He stood by and watch the Animal Path was about to aim something towards Nami, he seemed to had almost succeeded in killing her. But, the princess has always had a trick in her sleeve as a clone appeared behind the Animal Path, a big ice sword in her hand.

She slashed the Animal Path, letting the ice cover his whole body. Once his whole body was covered, the kunoichi held her hands still.

The whole ice broke, killing the Animal Path in a painful death.

Iruka approached the kunoichi slowly, he had read the record Kakashi wrote about Nami going haywire and was quite prepared to face her in case she attacked. "Fuyu?" He softly called her, holding his kunai in his hand. "Nami?"

Fuyu turned, her eyes still the sapphire that could mesmerise anyone who was looking. Iruka could see tears were gathering in her eyes as she suddenly crouched down. Sobs came from the princess which were getting louder by the minute.

"Kashi......" She continued to mourn. Iruka had gotten closer to Fuyu and he embraced her, trying to give some strength into her.

"Kakashi..." The kunoichi continued to repeat that one name until she was knocked out. The chuunin held her forehead, as usual, her body temperature had become too abnormal from overusing her powers again. Deep inside Iruka, his heart broke a little. Would Fuyu ever mourn for him as bad as this? They have been friends for so long, so would she?

"You have to accept faith, Nami. He's gone." Iruka fought the coldness from Fuyu and tried to radiate some of his warmth. But Fuyu's sadness was giving a really cold aura around her. Her body remained still, breathing slowly becoming normal as she rested her overworked body.

Iruka sighed and carried the princess towards safety. He spared a glance at Kakashi and started walking. He seemed so calm as if he was just taking a short nap.

How lucky of that Hatake, to win the heart of the woman Iruka had a crush on since they were kids.
