[7] Reality

I see his silhouette standing on the porch of the pavilion. His back facing me, tall and broad, looking at the sunset that made the sky looked pinkish orange and purple. It made the place look enchanting and magical. The flowers bloom and the scent of it somehow gave life to the scenery. He turns his head. I come closer and squint my eyes. I see his face, smiling as if he's inviting me to come towards him. I walk closer to the pavilion. He reaches out his hands and I grab it. He pulls me towards him. We inch closer and- I wake up.

Yes, I woke up. That was just a dream. I looked around. I sighed as I rubbed my eyes. Reality can be so disappointing. Sitting on the bench and leaning on one of the column of the pavilion, I looked at Mingyu playing with a random child and smiled. But it can also be as beautiful. He suddenly looked up at me and grinned. I looked away, flustered, but I chuckled anyway. He ran and sat beside me.

"You've awaken! Now we can go home." He said and leaned on me.
"You say you want to go home but you lean on me. I don't get you sometimes." I shook my head and laughed. He grinned.
"I'm just kidding. The sun will set soon so we must take this opportunity to watch and relax."
"Eung, then let's stay." I agreed. I smiled as I remembered my dream. He noticed and looked at me, confusion written all over his face.
"Why are you grinning?" He asked as he eyed me suspiciously. I chuckled.
"Was I?"
"Yes, you were." He chuckled along too. I stared at him and smiled to myself. He's so precious. This moment is precious. Every moment with him is precious.
"What are you staring at? Do I have dirt on my face?" He frowned and grabbed his phone to check his face. I snickered.
"No, you don't." He stopped looking at the screen of his phone and turned to me, still suspicious.
"Hmmm. You're acting weird!" He whined. I laughed.
"I just..."
"You just?"
"I had a dream..."
"A dream? What dream?"
"About this place..." I looked around and fell in awe as I saw how similar the current setting is to my dream's.
"Okaaaay?" He asked, confused.
"About me..." I said looking at the setting sun. "About you..." I looked at him. "About us." We both fell silent. He held my hand and stood me up.
"Tell me what happened in your dream and let's make it happen." He stared right into my eyes and gave me the most beautiful smile. I nodded and let out an excited laugh.

I told him what happened and he immediately went to his place.

He stood at the porch of the pavilion. His back facing me, tall and broad. He looked at the beautiful sunset that made the sky looked magnificent. And with him standing there, it made everything perfect. He turned his head and as I came closer, I saw his stunning and warm smile. He reached out his hands and I held it. He pulls me. We inch closer and-

I woke up. Again.

Just kidding, I wasn't dreaming. This is reality. A reality that even I couldn't believe that's happening. Is this what they call 'living the dream'?

We inched closer and he placed his forehead on mine. This much is fine for me. He smiled and whispered, "We could make everything real, ya'know?" He planted his lips on mine. "Even better."

And just like that, I appreciated reality.
