3.3 Mechanics for NON-Kathbute Members:

3.3.1 The story must comply with the required theme.

3.3.2 The story should not be shorter than 1,500 words but not more than 3,000 words. 

3.3.3 The story must be original and never been published under ANY medium (web, book, magazine, blog, etc.)

3.3.4 Any genre may be used.

3.3.5 The story must be written in English or Filipino only. For stories written in Filipino, minimal use of English words are acceptable.


3.3.6 Only ONE entry per person is authorized.

3.3.7 Entries must observe the technical aspect of story writing (e.g. no emoticons or text speak unless used in epistolary form).

3.3.8 Submit your entry via email (as a file attachment) to kabutesawattpad @ gmail.com 

3.3.9 Format:

Subject line: Non-Member - Kathbute Anthology Volume 2

Body:  Wattpad Username (e.g. lunatrix)
              Writing Prompt: (e.g. Aerobics, a secret diary, and something unpleasant under the bed)
              
Document name: Title by WP Username (e.g. The Glowing Mushroom by lunatrix)

Document format: .doc or .docx

3.3.10 Only the first 500-600 words of all submission entries will be posted on the Kathbute's Official Wattpad Page.

3.3.11 For Non-Kathbute members, the complete stories will only be visible to the Kathbute Judges for their evaluation, comments and criticism.

3.3.12 Entry submission Period: June 16-30, 2016 (until 6pm of June 30, 2016 only). Entries received before or after the submission period will be disqualified.

3.3.13 All entries will be posted on Kathbute's Official Wattpad Account on July 1, 2016.

3.4 Criteria for Non-Kathbute Entries:

Technicalities: 20%

Theme Relevance: 30%

Creativity: 30%

Content: 20%

3.5 Rules for Non-kathbute members:

3.5.1 The audition round will be a blind audition. All audition entries will be posted anonymously.

3.5.2 Participants are advised to maintain their anonymity. Breach of the anonymity clause in any form – intentional or unintentional, will automatically disqualify the submission. In effect, participants are prohibited to respond to queries, comments and/or critiques to their submission. Participants do not need to respond to explain their story. Let your story speak for itself.

3.5.3 All participants must NOT CHANGE their username until the results are posted.

3.5.4 Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.

3.5.5 Violation of any of the abovementioned rules and mechanics (as stated in item 3.3) shall be ground for automatic disqualification.

3.5.6 Only two (2) entries will be chosen from the submissions.
