Maya's POV
"Ok it's time"I say to zay
"Maya it's going to be fine it's just highschool now come one let's go inside"he says
"Ok let's go"I say
As we walk down the hallway I feel eyes all over me,from freshmen boys to senior boys,I've never gotten this much attention,I see girls smiling at me and some frowning at me,I see boy smiling at me and looking at me like they want me,my new teachers my new classrooms there all so big and see cool.
We get to the front desk and ask the teacher what home room we have.
"Hi I'm Maya hart and this is zay"I say to the nice old lady
"Hello student you guys are in homeroom 348,down the stairs to the left,here's your schedule have a nice day"me and zay start walking downstairs.
"You ready"zay says as we are about to reach out home room door.
"Yeah"I say
We walk in the door everything was fine Intill I saw Lucas and Riley,she was sitting on his lap,I felt a hand on my back.
"Maya are you ok?"asked zay
I smiled at him.
"Why wouldn't I be,I'm already Brocken you can't break somethings that's already Brocken"I say
Me and zay go up to the teacher Lucas and Riley haven't notice we are here.
"Hello guys"says my teacher she is so pretty her name is sophia
"Hi ms.sophia"me and zay say
"Maya you look like ms.sophia"zay said
"Oh stop she's so beautiful"ms.sophoa laughs.
"Thankyou you are beautiful your self ms.hart"she say
"Ok your seats are in the back you guys have me first period I teach Art so I hope you guys enjoy this class"she says
"I love art"I say
"Good now go sit"me and zay walk up to Riley and Lucas.
Riley gives me a look,a look that if looks could kill I would be dead.
"Hi Maya"she said faking a smile
"Hey riles"I say
"Hey zay how are you"she says to zay and hugs him
"Good Riley Thankyou"he says
"Hello Maya"says Lucas
"Hey ranger Rick"I say,Lucas get Riley of his lap and goes mad hugs me he puts his arms around my waist.
I hug him back but Riley comes and separates as.
"So Maya where were you all summer?"she asks
"I was at home and I wen over to Boston a couple times to visit my dad"I said
"Oh he actually cares"I heard Riley whisper.
"Riley you know I can still hear you"I say
"Oops"she says and takes a seat.
Lucas POV
Maya loos so beautiful but Riley and me have been getting really close this past months and I don't know my feeling anymore.
"Ok class says"ms.sophia
Everyone sits down Maya next to me our name were in the table already were we had to sit.
"Ok so I know it's the begging of the year but I want to assign you guys a project it's not due Intill January so you have 4 months to complete it,you and your partner will work together on this project,you guys will find something that you both care deeply about or share the same feelings for and paint it"says ms.sophia.
"Can me and Maya change partners"asks Riley
"No!!the person you are with is the person you stay the rest of the year."says ms.sophia she reminds me so much of Maya the look so much alike
"So Maya what do you want to paint"I ask her
"Well Lucas,I guess we should wait and see right know we don't have something that we both care deeply about so we can discuss it after how about after the animal ski lodge trip in October"she says
"Yea I would love that"I say
"It's a date then"she says
"Listen Maya after school we need to talk me you and Riley I made my decision"I say,she looks down at the floor.
