The minute he left, she lost her world
A picture of him still in her hand so cold
She looked herself in a broken mirror
Then she slowly sat on an empty floor
She cuddled herself, feeling so alone
Her tears fell, couldn’t make it on her own
She looked his face, she still loved this man
Thinking if this was really a God’s plan
She asked God why he was still gone
All this time, she waited for his return
A note, a phone call and a picture of him
A memory of them was slowly fading
She stood up and took one step silently
Leaving his picture she wanted to run away
Away from her suffering, away from her pain
Away from his love, away from the memoirs of him
Years gone by, nothing seemed change
Still a prisoner of her own feelings
She hesitantly took a step into the door
Though she’s still hurting into her very core
