I set my bike down against the tree and took a drink of water. I watched as Jenny and my 5 other cousins rounded over the hill. I wished they had waited for me, considering we were in the middle of a bunch of trees in the middle of nowhere.What if a wolf found me. After a few more minutes I started up the hill. I was almost at the top when I heard voices. I soon saw they were two of my cousins.
"Lily, Callie, where is Jenny and the others?" I asked them.
"We needed a break." said Callie. I sighed and told them to follow me, but made sure I didn't sound bossy like Jenny.
As we rode down the hill, I saw two other cousins of mine.
"Jacob, Molly, where are Jenny and Dean?" I asked again. They answered the same as my other cousins. All five of us kept riding. Soon I spotted Jenny and Dean. We finally caught up to them.
"Jenny! What the heck! you left us!" I yelled angrily. She gave me a really long explanation of how my cousins looked exhausted, and she felt bad leaving them but they told her to go on. I just rolled my eyes and we kept going.
After Jenny told me to slow down about nineteen times, I ignored her.
"Olivia, slow down!" she yelled, and I still ignored her. Over and over again my cousins called for me until I couldn't hear them anymore.
I assume I was near Sioux Falls when I finally stopped. my phone buzzed in my pocket. I ignored it. I told myself it was probably Jenny I rode casually around a loop in the trail when I heard a growl.
"Jenny!" I yelled, suddenly scared.The growling got louder.
"JENNY!" I screamed at the to of my lungs. the growling was just behind a tree now. I braced for a wolf or bobcat to attack me, but instead I heard Jenny yelling something unclear and the animal running away. When she did reach me, I heard what she was yelling.
"Oliviaaaa! A wolf escaped from the animal habitat! I sent the others back, just to be safe! Where are youuuuuu!" she yelled.
"Over here!" I replied. she found me and I rode home.
At home I explained how the wolf had found me and Jenny's yelling saved me. After that I never thought of Jenny as bossy after that, just protective.
