Adam and Juan fended off the oncoming assault of energy pellets that the girls were firing. Adam let go of his sword, opting instead to channel his energy into his fists. Juan looked back.

"What are you doing? Get your sword, Adam!"

Adam grinned. "Nah, I'll show you what I've learned these past four months!"

Rock merely sneered in response. "Deciding to ditch that oversized knife of yours, hm? That's fine," she cackled, "I'll show you what a few years' worth of cheerleading can do!"

She lunged for the boy, who jumped back, countering the girl's cartwheeling kicks with his fiery arms, parrying each move the girl came up with. Adam couldn't help but laugh.

"Is that all you've got? I thought this would at least be interesting!" He cooled down his flames. "Now, you ready to see what a whole life's worth of football can do?"

Rock swallowed. "H-how can you be so sure of yourself? H-how can you have defended against all my attacks?" She formed a ball of dark energy. "You shouldn't be able to do anything! Not against a pro like me!" She fired multiple spheres of darkness at the Algerian youth, who grinned as he quickly sidestepped and avoided every oncoming ball. With a shift in his glance, he dashed towards the girl, faked a hook to the girl's right, only to deliver a powerful uppercut kick to the girl's face, launching her directly into the hallway ceiling.

"Rock!" screamed Roll in concern. She turned to Adam, rage forming in her eyes. "You! I'll totally gut you for this!" She rushed him, a ball of darkness forming in her hands.

She was quickly shoved aside by Juan. "Where do you think you're going, bitch? You're fighting me!"

Roll stood back up, giving the Spaniard a look of complete disgust. "Ugh...didn't you ever learn not hit girls?" She lunged at Juan, once again charging another sphere of energy.

Juan dashed at the oncoming girl and grabbed her darkness-imbued arm. He grinned. "Sorry, but I had a pretty bad childhood." He slammed the girl into the hallway floor, and turned and proceeded to encase the two girls in blocks of ice. He looked to Adam. "That should get those two off our tails."

Adam nodded. "We've gotta get to Boss!"

Rym and Nadia ran as fast as they could. The neighboring areas were entirely empty - traffic never really ran through at this time of day.

Rym couldn't get the image of what had happened last time they had found Mimi amidst chaos. She shook her head as her thoughts flashed back to a screaming Mimi holding her wounded son in her arms.

It'll be fine. She has to be fine. We'll be there for her this time...!

Nadia looked over her shoulder, seeing Rym's concerned face. "Rym! Don't worry! She'll be fine!"

"What makes you so sure?"

Nadia smiled. "We're not powerless anymore! We can handle whatever happens! Now keep running and stop looking so sad okay? We'll get there soon!"

Rym stared at her friend thoughtfully, her lips slowly turning into a smile. "Yeah. Yeah, you're right, Nadia." She started running harder. "Come on! Mimi needs us!"

Gabriel and Ethan's fight was at its end. Ethan laid on the ground, bruised, battered, and bloody, struggling to get himself back on his feet. Towering over the British blonde with his pistol aimed right at Ethan's head, Gabriel gave an eerie grin.
