"You start in three days. You will always work with Abigail and I hope you get along because that is the only way you can keep this job.
"You get payed $9 an hour roughly. Every item you sell that is more then $399 you get a small percent.
" Your schedule is something you two may not mess up. You two must set it up and keep in contact.
"I will not help with any sales anymore. I hope that Abigail trains you properly.
"There is no limit to relationship, but keep PDA to a minimum.
"In winter shop, opens at noon, closes at 8. In summer, shop opens at 10 closes at 10.
"You get 30 hours of vacation time per quarter and 6 sick days, in which both of you better not be sick.
"This is close to a full time job. One or both of you must always be here.
"I'm sorry for any inconveniences that may occur with school, and signing this paper you are committing to putting some school aside for work. Please sign here," Mr Silvan read with no emotion all the term and conditions for this job. I kept a straight face letting the words go right over my head to later think about. I agreed to every thing he said and signed my name on a paper. I gave him a lazy smile and he left.
Abigail watched the whole interaction silently. I looked over at her and her green eyes met my brown ones.
I noticed a cloud of fear in her eyes. The sparkle was gone. She looked torn. My eyes graced over her whole body. Her hands were fiddling on her legs. Her jeans hugging her legs. She flicked her hand slightly toward her face. Her brows were knitted together her hair slightly messed up from the wind and her eyes still looked confused and scared. I knew she was slightly afraid of me but she had no reason to be scared of me at this moment.
She tipped her head to the side studying me. She pointedly moved her eyes toward our boss. That's when I realized he was back and talking again.
My eyes widened. I couldn't believe that I couldn't hear him, I was too distracted by Abigail. It didn't seem like Mr. Silvan noticed my zoning out.
I let out a quiet sigh of relief. I tried to focus as he told me the merchandise prices and how to mark down prices. It was worthless information to me but I listened. When he was done he looked at me for a few seconds nodded his head and walked out of the front of the store.
Abigail let out a small sigh.
"Don't ever do that again!" She demanded.
"Do what?" I asked looking at her outraged face.
"Zone out on him like that! Especially when you are zoning him out while checking me out!" She ranted.
My eyes widened for a second, but I composed myself quickly. I smirked at how angry I could make her without trying. She let out a frustrated breath.
"I know how much you fantasize about me checking you out but I wouldn't check you out." I said with eyebrows raised.
"You are suck a dick," she whispered to her self.
I chuckled a deep chuckle at her comment and she glared at me realizing I heard her.
She sighed and stared at me.
"Just don't zone him out cause we will both suffer his wrath. I will suffer it more if he thinks I'm the reason you are zoning him out," she warned. She wasn't annoyed when she said this. She wasn't angry. Or sad. Or scared. She was just warning me civilly. It took me by surprise.
