My jaw dropped as I studied the note tapped to the bottom.
'Your eyes look like galaxies when I stare into them.'
It made me cringe someone sent me this gift. Do I have a secret admirer? Everything was getting thrown at me so quick. I was so confused and scared.
What if they break in?
Wait.
No one would go crazy over an ugly bitch like me.
I'm safe.
I returned to my soft, comfy spot with Peanut and texted Autumn. I know she wasn't going to reply, because she was on vacation on the other side of Earth. I texted her about what just happened.
Heck, I can't believe what just happened.
I tried to figure out who the person was. Thinking about every person I knew.
My face heated up to a light shade of pink as I thought about Lucas Anderson. I knew he would never like me back, but it was nice to think for a second he did. I jumped back to reality and thought about my unattractive appearance.
Luke was my neighbor who lived in a bright baby blue house. We were close friends since we knew each other since we were newborns. He had dirty blonde hair that usually was pushed to the side, making a kinda emo look. His vibrant green eyes were brighter than a forest. I always got lost in them, because in his eyes I saw the colors of drenched leaves. His smile was so adorable. It was like he only grinned so you could get lost in his evil trap, but you'd always want to say his smile was brighter than my future. Whenever I saw him, he let loose butterflies which always would end up fluttering in my stomach.
He'd never like my blue ombre hair or my crystal clear blue eyes or my smile or my nerdy glasses or my pierced lip or my body or-
I was interrupted by another door bell.
I got up in a lazily manner and walked to the door once again. My soft hand reached for the knob and pulled. As I looked outside, I could swear my heart beat stopped. The flutters returned. Everything hurt from the pain of love, you can say. I gave him a small smile, but inside I was doing summersaults and walking upside down.
A soft sigh traveled through his soft, lonely lips. He mumbled something under his breath, but I could only make out 'Here goes noth-' and got cut off.
"Did you receive my gift?" He questioned as he looked into my soul.
"Uhh...yeah I think so." I responded quietly.
"Well, you see I gave you that, because....ummm....how should I say this....I umm....might like you"
I couldn't believe what was happening. Am I dreaming? Am I even alive?
I was met with a quick burst of darkness combined with unbearable pain.
