I dreamtI dreamt one day I fell so hard
So hard I cracked my skull and
And inkwells overflowed like rivers
Rivers that laid bare my truths
Truths cerebral and spiritual
Between soul and spirit
Spirited down into flesh and bone
Past sinews and tendons
Tendons that moved sensual hands
Hands that write of you and only you
You fell from black quill in ink drops
Drops of velvet night scrawled across journal entries.
But tonight that ink arose and stood before me.
"Do you love me?" you texted.
I shook my head, numb, and switched it off.
