"Niti, take your position." I heard Shashank sir say and I mustered up courage to stand in front of the human Eiffel tower whose mere presence had induced thousands of tear drops down my cheeks.

Why can't I hate him ?

For all I know, he might have gone and told something to Disha about you and maybe that's why she..

No Niti..what're you thinking ? He can't do this.

Yeah, he can't.

"Okay , so let's begin." We heard Shashank sir said and the shot began.

The scene began with Nandini's self talk with her jar of fireflies.. Well, these fireflies had had a pretty deep impact on me thanks to the show. I had begun growing a little fond of because they spread light even in darkness..

"So usse keh du tumhari secret ? Should I tell him everything ?" I said gleefully , not averting my gaze from the jar of fireflies for even a nanosecond. The computerised fireflies were to glow and the next instant I turned around to see him nearing. Next, I was supposed to let the jar drop by mistake and he was supposed to catch it. He did it, without breaking eye contact, and at that particular instant Nandini was supposed to be reminded of her particular fireflies memory.. I smiled in disbelief and contentment as if it wasn't her but me who couldn't ask for more seeing her most beautiful reality coming true.

He handed over the jar of fireflies, while I, as Nandini continued blushing..Immediately he sighed and then began the conversation. I just hoped I could pull off the scene as authentically as possible.

"So big day today huh?" He started.

"Yeah..but not compared to yesterday." I said, still blushing.

"Yesterday.." He mumbled . "Waise Nandini, its been a long journey since the day you punched me, until yesterday."

I was so proud of myself to have punched him ! He looked so mighty and huge that I was actually scared to punch him the other day , but i did...and then to the kiss that had evoked all sorts of feelings inside me...uh

He started revolving in circles around me  whilst saying his dialogues with the most realistically realistic feelings. Each word he spoke, killed me a thousand times over.

"You know the day you punched me, I just couldn't get you out of my head..I was obsessed with you.. Alya, Dhruv they told me, you're not my type I shouldn't ! But I was firm, I couldn't rest until I had you." He said and stood without a regret on his face in front of me.

"Manik tum kya keh rahe ho ? Mujhe na kuch samajh nahi aa raha.."

He made a sympathetic expression and pressed the tip of his index and middle fingers against my forehead.

"You poor Nandu..you don't think haan. Actually you should be proud of yourself..you know what, you've been my life's biggest challenge."

Nandini didn't know what he meant...although she had a fair idea but she just wanted him to prove her wrong.

"Let me put it in simple words.." He said.

It was at this point that things started making real sense to Nandini. He shook his head in disbelief only to hide the redness in his eyes whereas Nandini's eyes were already red due to tears.

I didn't need glycerine. Every spoken word was somehow reminding me of the horrendous reality of my life. Did everything really have to be like this ? Why did everything have to be so complicated and not simple ? Why did I have to fall for this human inspite of knowing the fact that he could never belong to me ? Why did I have to give him the power to affect me so much ? Why ?
