"Dude, congratulations!" My brother, Blynk almost shouts, as we sit down off to the side in the school's library.

I scowl at him, "Quiet, I'd like not to get kicked out of the library!"

"Awww, someone's embarrassed!" He says in a lower voice. "That's so cute!"

"Stop it," I growl, "...What are you talking about? 'Dude congratulations' what?"

His green eyes shine mischievously. "I saw you, I totally saw you, little sister. You did it!"

My heart pounds. "Wait, you saw- I mean, what do...What do you think you saw?"

He gets the odd look he gets when he gloats. With a really, really big grin, he slowly spells it out, word by word.

"I. Saw. You. Talking. To. One. Blonde. And. Blue. Haired. Brown. Eyed. Girl. In. Your. Math. Class."

"Shhhhhh!" My heart pounds again. "What are you talking about?"

"Yesterday, I saw you talking to her! Would've mentioned it, but we went to separate houses last night. And I wanted talk to you about this to your face."

"It - it's not that big of a deal," I try to play it off, but my stupid tendency to resemble a tomato when I blush gives it away.

"Yeah right!" He grins, "You finally work up the nerve to talk to the girl you've been crushing on for the last five months, and it's 'no big deal'? My bullshit alarm is going off like crazy!"

My scowl deepens as I run my hand though my hair, looking away. The library isn't too full today, which is good. Less people will hear how this will go down.

"I mean seriously, what did you say to her?" He barely can sit still.

I facepalm. "You sound like a girl, or a feminine gay guy-"

"Why?" He offensively demands, "Because my sister finally speaks to the girl she's been absolutely raving about? Jeez, don't be like Andrea was whenever we teased-"

I immediately interrupt him. "It's not like that, it won't be like that."

He hold his hands up in surrender, "Good, I don't want you to get hurt... So what'd you say?"

I groan. While I'm glad he dropped that subject, I really can't get out of this one.

"It's inevitable, little sister-"

"Will you stop with the 'little sister' thing? Dammit Blynk, I'm literally a few minutes younger than you!"

He laughs, "Yup, A whole five minutes younger, thus making me your older brother!" He gives me a pointed look. "So what did you say? Did you compliment her? Did you ask to hang out? Did you ask her out? What did she say?" He exaggerates his blinking and takes on a high, false voice, "Did you tell her you lurvvvvvv her?"

I duck my head, my face flaming. Looking around, I sigh in relief, as no one appears to be listening.

Thank god she goes right home after school.

"Stop it," I hiss, again. "And it's a no."

"Then what happened?" He calms down a little as he intensely studies my face. "It's a no to what?"

I avoid his eyes, unconsciously rubbing my collar bone. "To... all of it. I, uh, kinda, maybe, got nervous and justtoldherthehomwork."

"Dude," he says, after having me repeat it slower, as he rubs his jaw, "You tanked. You tanked!"
