After the fox attack, we buried Rainwhisker'a body near a tall birch tree. We all had a moment of silence for our friend, but had to continue on our adventure.
We traveled for three more days, not running into trouble. Then, I recognized ThunderClan territory.
We immediately get stopped by a patrol. I recognize Dustpelt, Cloudtail, Thornclaw, but there were three aprentices i didnt know, but it came to me, Hazelpaw, Cinderpaw, and Poppypaw.
"This is ThunderClan territory!" Meowed Dustpelt. The other cats nod.
Dustpelt's voice sounded weak, and I notice that I could see the cats ribs and bones. I shiver.
"We're here to talk to Firestar, Dustpelt." I say, determination in my eyes.
"How do you know his name?" Murmurs Poppypaw, looking up at me with curious eyes.
"I'm Daisytail, and I'm from SunClan. We used to live here." I answer, "and this is Quailpool, Dawnpaw, Falconear, Cloudstem, Mistystep, and..." I stop remembering that Rainwhisker is no longer alive.
"Can we please see Firestar! It's important!" Pleads Dawnpaw.
"Follow me." Says Cloudtail kindly, ignoring Dustpelt's ignorance and takes the lead. I always remembered that I was fond of Cloudtail, but not much Dustpelt.
As we follow Cloudtail through the ThunderClan territory, we pass by an abandoned twoleg nest, and the old thunderpath. SunClan territory used to be here, between ThunderClan and ShadowClan.
We reach the camp, and we step inside.
This is not the ThunderClan I know.
The cat's fur is stuck to there bodiesi and their tired eyes say they've had rough times.
"What happened?" I ask Cloudtail, staring at him with scared eyes.
"Leaf-bare took it's toll." He says, keeping his head low in disappointment.
I stare down at my snow-covered paws. My fur has grown so thick I don't feel cold, but their now skinny bodies must freeze in this weather.
I also see the fresh-kill pile is dangerously low. After my talk with Firestar, I'm going hunting.
"Thanks for helping, Cloudtail, but we should see Firestar now." I say, giving him a smile. I motion for Dawnpaw, Falconear, and Quailpool to follow me into the den.
"We'll stay and help around camp." Mews Mistystep, and I nod.
"Thank you!" I yell over my shoulder as I head toward the leaders den.
Falconear took the lead and called out our names as we entered the den.
Firestar was talking to his deputy, Brambleclaw. I bow my head as they look at us.
"Daisytail, you've come! StarClan said you would." Meows Firestar, coming to greet us.
His fiery ginger pelt glistens in the sunlight, but his usual noble eyes shine a tired green.
"We came to talk with you," I look at Brambleclaw, "privately."
Brambleclaw nods, and pads out of the den. He flicks tail, signaling 'bye'.
"What's so important that even my deputy can't even hear it?" Firestar says while smirking.
"We came here to talk about our prophecy." Falconear meow.
"Ya, we came to warn you about something bad happening!" Dawnpaw exclaims.
"Isn't this leaf-bare bad enough?" Comments Firestar, "my cats are starving, cold, and weak." He lets his head fall in shame.
"Don't be sad, it happens to every clan." Comforts Quailpool. We all nod in agreement.
"You're telling me. ShadowClan is gone, RiverClan is almost dead, and WindClan deserted us." He meows.
I feel a pang of guilt. We couldn't have completed the prophecy when we don't have ShadowClan or more then a few RiverClan cats! I sigh.
"Well what are we going to do?" Asks Dawnpaw, scraping her unsheathed paws on the ground.
"I think I have a solution to our problems." Mews Quailpool, "ThunderClan is coming back with us."
Then the shouting began.
