"What?!" I yell at Fernheart and Willowstar.

"Think about it, Quailpool." Fernheart says, looking at the ground.

I nod, and walk out of the den, my mind whirling.

DAISYTAIL'S POV(regular pov):

The smell of the forest calms me, sending my mind to another world. I smile and imagine myself where there was no war, twolegs, or illnesses. I laugh, "There will never be a world like that!" I think.

I teeter on the edge of fiction and reality, when something, or someone, woke me up from day-dreaming.

"Daisytail! Stop being a mouse-brain and take me to Battle Hollow?" Falconpaw. He looks at me with eager and impatience. He was just like me when I was an apprentice.

I catch up to the golden tom to take the lead to Battle Hollow, where apprentices learn how to fight.

We pad into the small, grassy clearing, the short trees letting some light through. I lead him to the corner of Battle Hollow.

"Let's work on your 'surrender'." I suggest, Falconpaw agrees.

We separate a couple of fox lengths away. He twitched his ear, our signal to show he's ready. I nod my head, and start running for him. He's prepared, jumping from side to side, but I'm too heavy for him, I knock him down

Falconpaw squirms, but I pin him down. I raise my sheathed paw, and go down for a swipe. All of a sudden he goes limp, like he's dead.

I start losing my grip on him, thinking Falconpaw is dead or injured. Before I let go completely, he kicks me with his sheathed back paw, and I roll backwards in surprise. Perfect.

"Amazing," I compliment him, "you're getting much better." I swat my paw over his ear. He smiles.

"Thanks." He says shyly.

Falconpaw and I practice a little longer, until I say we should hunt and then go back to camp and eat. He follows me out of the clearing, our stomachs growling.

My body in a hunting crouch, I creep up to my prey, a squirrel. I finally leap, and sink my teeth and claws into the squirrel's body. Tangy blood fills my mouth, but I like it.

I bury my new catch with the rest of my kills: 3 mice, 1 magpie, and 1 squirrel.

Falconpaw walks over to me, holding a vole, 2 small squirrels, and a bird. I smile with pride at my apprentice, I trained him well. We pad back to camp, the prey making our mouths water.

We drop off our catches, and grab something old from the fresh-kill pile. I grab an old mouse, and Falconpaw picks up a scrawny squirrel.

We sit next to Applestep and Bluefeather, while watching the kits play, 'Badger Attack'. I look over to give my friends a grin, and see them making googley eyes at eachother.

"Applestep and Bluefeather, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Whispers Falconpaw into my ear, peaking behind her too.

"I guess they'll be some new kits in the nursery soon." I giggle-whisper into The golden tom's ears, making him smile as well.

I finish my prey, and tell Falconpaw I'll meet up with him later or tomorrow. I was going to rest and he should also. I mew goodbye again before I head to the warriors den for some peace and quiet.

I lay down in my bed and quickly drift to sleep...

I stand next to a white cat with bright blue eyes. She looks at me, and smiles, and the motions for me to follow her. I pad next to the pretty she-cat in silence until she speaks up.

"Daisy Stem, I'm glad you're here." She says, staring at me. I give her a confused look, and she lets out a mrrrowww of laughter.

"You're stronger then you think." She whispers.

"You're more mouse-brained then you think." I snap back, still wondering while I'm here.

The she-cat stops by a river, and we both lean down for a drink. I feel the icy cold water on my tongue, but then I start getting dizzy, there was something in the water!

"Help them, Daisy Stem." She yells fading into darkness.

"What? Help who? I don't even know who you are!" I scream to her, and as the tip of her tail slips into black as well, she speaks.

"Bluemoon!" She mews. And then she's gone.

I hear the rushing river, the swish of wind, the boom of thunder, and then the shadows overwhelm me.

I gasp as I wake up from my dream. I shake my head to clear all the things from my mind, and heave a sigh of relief. The sun is just peaking out over the horizon, and everyone else is still sleeping.

I tiptoe out of the warriors den to take a walk. I pad into the middle of camp. I listen to the slow breathing of my clan while I quickly eat a sparrow. Then I head to the entrance to be free.

Stormfur and Eagleclaw are on watch duty and drowsily nod when I tell them I'm just getting some fresh air. I go in the direction of Battle Hollow, thinking of what I'll do with Falconpaw tomorrow, when I see the glistening lake.

I grin. I would get soaking wet, but it would clear my mind from everything that's going on.

I sprint towards the shining water and run in. The freezing water hits my sides, and I start paddling. The refreshing water alerts my senses, and I breath in the misty air.

My fur flattens at my sides, and I dive under. The water hits my face, and a rush of cold slams into me. I lose my strength on the water, and float along with the current, trying to take a breath.

I can't. I struggle and swim upward, I finally break the surface. I take a quick breath, before it tugs me back under. The waters ruff today, and I'm in the middle of it.

I it's black, my lungs are burning, and I'm going to drown. When I realize it, I just float. I loosen my grip on the water knowing, I'm done in this world.

Even though Bluemoon thinks I'm strong, I am not. I must flow, like a leaf in the wind. I am weak, and now I'm dying. I can't help the cats Bluemoon was talking about, and I have failed.

I here cats, screaming my name and splashing into the water after me. i dont care anymore. I drift through the water, close my eyes, and watch the darkness come into my life.
